What’s This TV Show About?
A CBS action-adventure series, MacGyver stars Lucas Till, George Eads, Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, and Meredith Eaton. The reimagined drama centers on Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Till), a 20-something adventurer. Mac creates a secret organization within the US government. There, he uses his vast scientific knowledge and an extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving to save the world.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of MacGyver averaged a 0.70 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.11 million viewers. Compared to season two, that’s down by 16% and 11%, respectively. Find out how MacGyver stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will CBS cancel or renew MacGyver for season four? Though the ratings are down, I can’t see them cancelling this show this time around. The network will want more episodes for the syndication package. I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. I love Macgyver and I am glad they are bring it back.
Love MacGyver, problem is that the series is so much better with George Eads in it. You have to bring him back. I still watch, but not liking it as much since George (Jack) is gone. Please, please bring Jack back.

I am glad to hear MacGyver is going for another season, I liked the original MacGyver, buy I like the new one since he works with a team.
We really enjoy the concept of MacGyver, but must say the writing has gotten goofier, and somehow the cast is lacking without Jack (George Eads). This whole thing with the dad being back takes away from a story line with Mac being a creative and smart agent. Why not try new writing without so much family drama, and pick a theme that is relevant. There is so much more that you can put real science towards. And BRING BACK JACK!
I still think the role of his father should have been played by the original MacGyver, Richard Dean Anderson.
We are seniors, and there are VERY few great shows to watch, and Macgyver is one of them!! PLEASE, don’t cancel the show. Thank you soooo much!
Without jack show is not even close to being what it was. The whole story has changed. The focusing on all the characters and less on MacGyver. They need to bring Jack back the woman is that replaced him just is not convincing enough for the part. She looks horrible and not only that her acting skills are unbelievably horrendous.I can’t believe they renewed the series after Jack left. I really did not think the new McGyver show would replace the original but now I am hooked. I really can’t guess how many seasons it will miss it when it goes.
