What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FX cable channel, Mr Inbetween was created by its star, Scott Ryan. The series also stars Damon Herriman, Justin Rosniak, Brooke Satchwell, Jackson Tozer, Nicholas Cassim, Chika Yasumura, Edmund Lembke-Hogan, and Matt Nable. In the series, Ray Shoesmith (Ryan) has many roles — as a father, an ex-husband, a boyfriend, caretaker to a sick brother, and a best friend. His life is further complicated because Ray also happens to be a criminal-for-hire. In season two, Ray’s work and personal life collide and he struggles to keep both of them from imploding.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Mr Inbetween averaged a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 409,000 viewers. Compared to the first season, that’s down by 28% in the demo and down by 14% in viewership. Find out how Mr Inbetween stacks up against the other FX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will FX cancel or renew Mr Inbetween for a third season? The series was commissioned for FX Australia as its first original drama production but that channel closed before the series could air. FX renewed the series anyway, despite low ratings. My suspicion is that it’s fairly cheap to produce and they’ve also been making six to eight episodes a season. How is this not a HUGE hit?? I just started watching it about 6 weeks ago and it didn’t take long to get through both seasons at all. It’s extremely intriguing and the writer/actor who plays Ray does an excellent job walking the line between tough guy and soft-hearted daddy. I can’t believe he wasn’t an established actor before this show! So, obviously I’m REALLY hoping for a renewal!
Yes! Please! I enjoy Ray’s particular outlook on life: take care of your own, don’t let anybody take advantage & punish them severely if they do! I’d like to see hour long episodes & more of them in a season. Note: would like to see Ray find a girlfriend whose a kindred spirit.

GREAT show so much depth..so much thought behind it..scares me a bit but then i hang out for it..the very best for the 3rd season..in years to come it will be a cult show..

please renew Mr Inbetween. I wish FX would of pick up the show outsiders that was a good show and a lot of people was mad when wgn drop it
Absolutely love this series! Incredible scripts, acting, cinematography and atmosphere. Scott Ryan is amazing as Ray and I pray we get a third season.
It’s the only current show that myself and my wife sit silently through the end credits trying to fully absorb what has just transpired. And the best not verbal acting I’ve seen for a very long time. If Ray’s brother doesn’t win some sort of an award, well then there is no justice.
