*4/1/2022 update: NCIS has been renewed for a 20th season on CBS.
This episode was quite good although we miss Gibbs and all the others who are now gone. Have watched NCIS since its inception…taking the time to get to know the new characters.
The ncis series were always my favorites. But there isn’t one left I would watch anymore. Ncis has no story line and no characters. Los Angeles I stopped watching 2 years ago when the main storyline was about Kenzie and Deeks and no real story. Useless without Heddy. Hawaii is a waste of time. Funny the fbi shows can find qualified staff for good shows. Ncis should be ended. Im moving to fbi series and law and order. What a pity.
I have watched this show since episode one of season one. It just keeps getting better! Just when a character (actor) leaves, and you think that the show will be ruined, they replace that person with another character who is totally different, but equally as wonderful! This season, 2 left and we have 2 new, and they are both great. Gary Cole especially is wonderful in the role that they have created for him. Not at all like Gibbs, but a terrific leader also. I love watching each new episode of this show. The writers are amazing. I have enjoyed… Read more »
NCIS needs to end the show is so over a lot of good cast left the show some because of someone making it toxic work environment. At one point Sean Murray threatened to leave the show because it got so bad. Now that Mark Harmon has stopped acting they should end the show it’s done
I really liked Gibbs until the last several seasons. He became “grumpy Gibbs” so Parker is a refreshing addition. Now that I think about it, maybe Mark Harmon was doing a “psych number” on the viewers so we would not miss him so much and could welcome the new “boss”. Guess what, it worked!
Love the show. Do not cancel
I love NCIS and they do a GREAT job with finding the right people for the show. Wasnt sure how I will feel about all the changes but they managed to do that EXTREMELY well. This is one of the BEST shows on TV today and it has proven that it can last many years to come. They got it right with this show and all the changes actually helps keep it fresh and realistic.
I love this show. I think they have done an awesome job in replacing people. I love everyone they have replaced as well as those who were replaced. I miss Mark Harmon bit still hold out hope he will be back
Monday night episode with Patricia Richardson which I thought it was so funny. To me if Mark Harmon is there or not and give them a chance for Gary Cole. I m still watching if Mark is there or not. I think he want is his little time off or vacation or his retirement. People change. TV change alot.
NCIS is going in a different direction, which I think is needed to keep it fresh. The new guy I believe will grow on fans as he isn’t trying to be a Gibbs and they have not written Gibbs completely out of the series, they just have him taking a long vacation.
I do love Mark Harmon and hope that Gibbs makes some visits throughout the rest of the show’s running, BUT I also love Gary Cole in his new role as Alden Parker. I was prepared to not like him at all, but he fits in perfectly and quirkily because he’s not trying to be Gibbs. McGee, Knight, and Torres make a good fit, but I have always loved McGee but wish they’d have him “look” more modern. He looks like he’s from a 1940’s/50’s detective show. If you really like this show you gotta flow with the changes…if not –… Read more »
I have to say I think Gary Cole is a major improvement although I will miss Mark Harmon. I think Katrina Law’s character is a much better fit than the Bishop character who to me always seemed out of place. It is nice to have the NCIS agents acting like adults.
Gibbs was the center of NCIS. It won’t be the same without him. Too many great actors have already left and the new replacement for Gibbs is not particularly endearing.
If Mark Harmon had to leave, they couldn’t have picked a better replacement than Gary Cole. It seems to be working.
I have loved this show and it has had a great run. Time for it to conclude.
