What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, the Prodigal Son TV series stars Tom Payne, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, Keiko Agena, Bellamy Young, Halston Sage, Michael Sheen, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Season two guest stars include Christian Borle and Michael Potts. In the story, Malcolm Bright (Payne) is an extraordinary criminal psychologist who knows how killers think and how their minds work. In the 1990s, his father, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), was a notorious serial killer called “The Surgeon” who killed at least 23 people. Since murder is “the family business”, Malcolm uses his twisted genius for good, to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers. He works alongside his longtime mentor, Gil Arroyo (Phillips), and two detectives — no-nonsense Dani Powell (Perrineau) and JT Tarmel (Harts), a born-and-bred New Yorker who questions whether Bright is a psychopath himself. In season two, Malcolm must deal with the repercussions of the first season finale and his father seeks to deepen his relationship with his prodigal son.

Why would fox do that I love this show, it keeps you guessing and wanting to see the next episode, I’m so sick of the cancelation if all those good series, fox and netflix are worst about doing this, I’m gonna stop watching fox and I’m getting rid of netflix too
Why would fox cancel prodigal Son? It’s one of the best series on television. Maybe if they didn’t have this is us on at the same time there wouldn’t have been a problem. This is us was on way before prodigal son. People were not going to stop watching this is us when they’ve been watching it right from the beginning. You people need to put your heads together.
I can’t believe FOX canceled Prodigal Son. It is such a good series and has awesome actors with so much more to give. Never had a bad episode. FOX cancels great shows just to put crappie show. I’m done with FOX they completely suck. I hope HULU or Netflix pick it up.
I can’t even believe that you would cancel this show??? It has several strong leading women and men in it that can deliver a great storyline! The chemistry between these actors is palpable, and when They brought on Alan Cumming on there as a detective from England, the intrigue and how the writer’s danced around the true killer, was AMAZING!!! I HOPE THAT HULU, NETFLIX OR ANOTHER NETWORK WILL PICK IT UP!!

I think in done with FOX, all together. They cancel every show I like(prodigal son being the latest) There are so many “crap” shows thst stick around for an eternity. Im just going to with Disney+(I know they own fox now) and maybe another cheap streaming service like Amazon. I’M DONE with FOX!!!

Prodigal Son is the best and most original show on mainstream TV today. It’s very sad that it is being cancelled. But of course, Fox would cancel such an interesting show. They probably are showing low ratings because so many people today record and watch shows when it is convenient, especially a show like this one; it’s fun to watch more than one episode at a time, ad free(fast forward). Bye Fox, you can keep your boing, cereal box shows, which are all that remain now. Maybe FX will pick it up.

Prodigal son was a great show, and they cancel it for probably more reality shows noone wants to see trash throwing their dirty laundry out for the world to see have some respect for self people get some class some people wouldn’t know wouldn’t know entertainment if it bit them in the A**
