TV show description:
In the year 2149, the planet Earth is overdeveloped and overcrowded. The majority of plant and animal life are extinct. Scientists unexpectedly discover a fracture in time that makes it possible to construct a portal into primeval history. With the future of the species at stake, a bold notion is born — to resettle humanity in the past. It’s believed that this is a second chance to rebuild civilization and to hopefully get it right this time. The first colony that’s established in the prehistoric land is called Terra Nova.
The Shannons, an ordinary family, are part of the Tenth Pilgrimage of settlers. Jim Shannon (Jason O’Mara) is a devoted father with a checkered past. He guides his family through this new world of limitless beauty, mystery, and terror. Jim’s wife is Elisabeth (Shelley Conn), a trauma surgeon and the newest addition to Terra Nova’s medical team.
Josh Shannon (Landon Liboiron) is their 17-year-old son and he’s resistant to leave the life he knew behind. When he arrives at the settlement, Josh finds himself immediately drawn to a beautiful and rule-breaking young woman named Skye (Allison Miller).
Maddy (Naomi Scott) is Josh’s endearingly awkward 15-year-old sister. She hopes that Terra Nova will give her a chance to reinvent herself. She’s the older sister to five-year-old Zoe (Alana Mansour). Elisabeth’s medical training secured the family a spot on the pilgrimage but a secret involving Zoe endangers their place in the ancient utopia.
Commander Nathaniel Taylor (Stephen Lang) is the charismatic and heroic first pioneer and leader of the settlement. He warns the travelers that, while Terra Nova is a place of new opportunities and fresh beginnings, everything isn’t as perfect as it appears. Along with clear blue skies, towering waterfalls, and lush vegetation, the surrounding terrain is filled with many dangers – much more than just man-eating dinosaurs. There’s also a splinter colony of renegades, led by the battle-hardened Mira (Christine Adams), who is vehemently opposed to Taylor and his leadership.
Even more threatening than what lies outside the protective walls of the colony is the chilling possibility that something sinister is happening inside Terra Nova. The Shannons soon begin to suspect that not everyone on the mission has the same idea of how to best save mankind. In fact, there may be forces intent on destroying their new world before it even begins.
2 years passed and still no ‘Terra Nova’ renewal, what a pity, what a shame. No proper ending. Please stop doing this ! It’s your fully right to end a show for whatever reason you may have but give it a at least proper ending !
You big producers do this to the American people all the time!! Get us hooked on a great show with a great story and fantastic special affects and then cancel it!!! If you can’t afford to do it for at least three seasons…don’t start it in the first place! What a disappointment!!! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Terra Nova! Superb acting, great writing and dinosaurs, what’s not to love!!! Bring it back!!!
This is one of the top 5 best shows Ive ever watched. I was shocked when I stopped seeing episodes airing. What a terrible decision to cancel this show, it was incredible.
terra nova was tight no joke. i injoyed watching it on neflix as well in my spear time an got hooked on it from the begining tell the last episode made, please continue terra nova. why disappoint the viewers point of view we all pay for are way eventually to give it notice but it was never given the chance to get far enough.. please keep your roll going, the more you try an show us all the more you get out of it so give it a chance.
This was a really great show! I enjoyed watching it on Netflix. Very disappointed that the show was cancelled- especially on such a huge cliffhanger! This show is very marketable to all sorts of generations- I agree, it needed more publicity.. I read it was cancelled because it was high-cost and didn’t bring in the necessary dough. I am sure there is a way to bring back the show at less of a cost per episode. Or, take a risk by marketing HUGE and the advertisers will come! There aren’t any other shows like Terra Nova out there and we… Read more »

hey will you bring the show terra nova back please
I absolutely loved this show, I hope they bring it back somewhere. Maybe the Space Channel will pick it up.
This was a great show cant believe they didnt give it a chance that the problem with these networks they dknt give anything a chance to catch its breath I have gotten to the point now that I wont watch any new shows they just cancke them on me I have had it been 2 years in arow now and the new, shlws I get knto they cancle so no more will not be watching the upcoming 2012 -2013 seasons
This needs to be picked up by another channel. Who doesn’t love dinosaurs and people living with them while trying to make the world a better place? Oh wait that’s right, Fox doesn’t like that.
Show was good, me and my son watched it every week without fail, wish some network would pick it back up…
