By putting The Bridge on the least-watched night of television, it was clear that CBS didn’t have much faith in the Canadian TV show from the start. After just two weeks, three episodes, and low ratings, the series was pulled from the schedule.
At this week’s press tour, CBS president Nina Tassler explained, “The show wasn’t delivering the numbers that we needed… Generally, our summer strategy works, and I think we’ll continue to look at other ways to do other Canadian productions and other kinds of scripted shows during the summer.”
The Bridge continues to be popular in Canada and CTV has already ordered a second season.
Unfortunately, there’s no such luck for US viewers. CBS hasn’t announced any plans to air the remaining 10 episodes of season one or to release them online.
A CTV representative also tells us that there are currently no plans to release the series on DVD.
What do you think? Do you want to see the remaining episodes? Would you consider buying The Bridge on DVD?

Please keep this show going. Finally we have an excellent show on TV!
the show was great – unfortunately it was aired at the wrong time – its as good as Law and Order and CSI Miami – so whats up with CBS management?
Put it on at a different time and day.
What a bad move on CBS’s part. The show had no promotion – and no time to develop fans. Please run the rest of the episodes.
The Bridge was a GREAT show. Cancelling it was really stupid. After only three episodes on two nignts. It was rewarding to see something good on trash Saturday.
Reconsider CBS — put on the rest of the episodes!!
I enjoyed the show, cbs has plenty of other shows that don’t have any one watching, like the news why cancel this show
I cant believe they cancelled this great show ,the bridge is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than flashpoint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a GOOD show……..I don’t know who makes some of these programming decisions but they can be really dumb sometimes!!!!!
The show was shown on a terrible night to get viewers, there was very little advertising for it, most people had not heard of it and just happened to catch it but those who did watch loved it. Give it another chance, air those other episodes!!!
no way for American viewers to see this, no dvd available? hope its downloadable somewhere or a torrent. nonsense abounds while good shows get sacked…
it was the greatest show of the summer season. compelling and gripping. please reconsider CBS. Put it on another night or release all episodes on DVD. Maybe another network would pick it up.
Great show. The back room deals were realistic. Maybe to smart a show for viewers who would rather watch “Reality” shows that take about 5 takes for each realistic scene
CBS has mad a mistake. It has kept Big Brother which is trash while canceling a good show.
This is a really good show. Why was it shown on a Saturday night? Why was this cancelled instead of “Big Brother”?
I enjoyed the couple of shows I saw. Good writing. Good Acting. I thought it odd that it was shown on saturday night, an evening where there is normally very little worth watching.
I thought it was such a great show. I can not help but wonder if there was not something fishy going on. I could not figure out why it was on the night they had it . I think Someone did not want this series to have a chance.
