The Conners is nearing a renewal for a fourth season. ABC has closed deals with the four main stars of the series — Sara Gilbert, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, and Lecy Goranson. They have been given contracts for a 20 episode fourth season. This clears the way for the alphabet network to officially renew the comedy which moved to Wednesday nights for its third season.
Per Deadline, the cast of the series signs contracts year to year because the sitcom is a spin-off from Roseanne. The cast has been receiving bumps in pay per episode each season. The report speculated that the main cast is nearing the $400,000 per episode mark.
As for The Conners, the series is the most-watched comedy on the network. Ratings show that an average of 3.7 million tune in to watch the series each week per the traditional overnight ratings. It also gets a healthy bump in delayed viewing.

I watched “Roseanne” from the beginning. While I miss her in “The Conners” I am in favor of the renewal of the show. The topics they cover are quite relevant and I will continue to watch. Great show, ABC.

We love show,miss Roseanne but she doesn’t need be there. Becky is way better that she used to be and way sexier than in original show,used to think Darlene was cute too,but not now. D.J. not as funny as before but DAN is still funny and always will. I like the bringing of old characters to the show,I’d just like to see some of them on for more than 1 or 2 shows. I still like it. Last weeks episode was very good.
Yes for watched the kids grow up to become parents of their own children. This show has went into subjects that are fact as very serious. I doubt that I personally couldn’t find such comedy as Roseanne and The Conners. We need to have a show with such incredible team as should say actors who work very well together. Thank you .

I’m a fan of the show, but honestly, I’m a bit surprised it’s getting renewed. This past season, has been short on jokes, and it’s gotten dark and depressing. This is supposed to be a comedy, right?
