What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, The Equalizer TV show stars Queen Latifah, Chris Noth, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Liza Lapira, Adam Goldberg, and Laya DeLeon Hayes. The story follows Robyn McCall (Latifa), an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background. She uses her extensive skills as a former CIA operative to help those with nowhere else to turn. To most, Robyn appears to be just an average single mom who is quietly raising her daughter (Hayes) and living with her aunt (Toussaint). However, to a trusted few, Robyn is The Equalizer, an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption. Joining Robyn as champions of justice are her longtime friend and former CIA handler (Noth), an edgy bar owner and past colleague (Lapira), and a paranoid and brilliant white-hat hacker (Goldberg). As Robyn aids the oppressed and exploited, her vigilante work garners the attention of a shrewd NYPD Detective (Kittles). He once sought to uncover her identity, but now respects the need for Robyn’s type of justice, even as he often questions her methods.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Equalizer averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.89 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season one, that’s down by 49% in the demo and down by 22% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). It’s worth noting that the post-Super Bowl season debut drew a 5.08 demo with 20.40 million viewers so that definitely skewed the season averages. While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. Though other economic factors are involved, the higher-rated shows usually get renewed and the lower-rated ones get cancelled. Find out how The Equalizer stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

Will CBS cancel or renew The Equalizer for season three? This series had a great launch last season following the Super Bowl and it performed pretty well for the rest of the season. The network has few female-led shows and this one fits well with the rest of the CBS programming so, I think it’s a safe bet for renewal. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Don’t watch much that isn’t documentary TV. However I watch show and very glad it’s been renewed.
Please do not cancel The Equalizer. The Queen and crew have done an amazing job. It is my favorite show. Other shows do not hold my attention but this one does. Cannot wait for season three.

Please don’t cancel the equalizer this is the only show I’m really interested in all of the latest shows has been very boring now and days everything in shows or movies are either not out or are boring shows this is the only show that has entertaining content in it and the main character is Robyn she is very interesting and I love every other character they all have a very interesting back story and I have a question what is the reason there not making a season three.
The Equalizer needs to be kept on the Queen does a fantastic job in her roles! Cast members known and unknown made the show a HIT! Keep It ON!
It is really sad how the network is interrupting The Equalizer show. I hope they don’t think people are not seeing what they are doing. I will still be watching it no matter what you do to interrupt it. I will not be a part of you trying to drop The Queens ratings!!!
Do the writer’s know that accountants haven’t used bound ledgers like the one in a previous episode in 40 years? How stupid!!
One of the best series out there especially with a strong beautiful actress Queen Latifah(she should be doing a lot more acting). I love how it touches on personal relationship (with her family) her compassion (for people from all walks of life, cultures, rich or poor, ethnicity) It speaks about how people if they cared about their community, would look out for one another which I believe is very relevant to America today.
First of all, I love the Equalizer. Great show. The important thing in today’s viewing environment, I get to choose what to watch and when. It isn’t about ratings anymore the way they are measured. This way us useless in a world that decides the television times and schedule regardless of airtime. As a marketer, I suggest another survey technique that determines favorite shows rather than what is watched at specific airtime networks schedule. The Equalizer is a very good series, tackles a lot of different issues in a unique way. Love ❤️ the Queen too! Been watching since the 1st episode.
