The Man in the High Castle released its full season to Amazon in November, and the man in charge of the series already knows how the series will end. He just does not know when it will end.
Frank Spotnitz spoke about the series with the Village Voice recently, and he shared that he does know where the story will end. Fans will have a satisfying closure – they will know “where Juliana Crain is going and what her story is about and how it would end.”
Spotnitz realizes closure is important because he knows series sometimes shows leave their fans hanging and wondering what would have happened to the characters if events played out.
For future seasons, Spotnitz would like to show more of the planet and the impact the Axis win would have on the rest of the world. For season two, he also plans to address what happened to African Americans.
He said:
“In my version of this, African Americans have been banished entirely from the Reich. You do see black people in the Neutral Zone and the Japanese Pacific States, where they’re less strict about enforcing racial laws and cleansing. But we don’t really explore, in season one, the fate of African Americans. It’s something I hope to do in season two.”
Did you see The Man in the High Castle? Will you watch season two? Tell us what you think.
Can someone clarify what happens on the last episode at the end. Is he imgagining that or is it real? Also who is making the films? Lastly, WHO IS THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE? I love this show!
the man in the high castle is Hitler, in the Alps.
Just finished season 1. Great acting, great cinematography, great authenticity. Can’t wait to see season 2.
I am 77, born in 1938 and have always had a fascination with WWII. Please continue the story!
looking forward to Season 2. Love the chemistry between Juliana and Joe, but there is so much more going on with all the story lines and interesting characters with their personal and relational conflicts. Hope it doesn’t absorb too much new story and lose the momentum of Season 1.
I just finished the season….. If there isn’t a second season I will be saddened by it. The artistry in this show is far from what we have witnessed thus far from what is on public television. Very impressed with the timelines and the “what if” of the Reich. I love it and have chills just thinking of what else can develop from it all. Seems as the man in the high castle is the Führer himself, but we know it is not. I want to find out who it is……
