ABC hasn’t had much luck launching a new reality show in quite some time so they tried something different this time — The Quest. Is it a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead?
On The Quest, a dozen everyday people are transported to a fantasy world called Everealm where they have adventures and compete to be the last “true hero” remaining. The cast includes Peter Windhofer, Jan Hutter, Marcello de Nardo, Susanne Gschwendtner, Stephanie Buddenbrock, Florence Kasumba, Mai Duong Kieu, and Doug Tait.
The show debuted at the end of July to a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.82 million viewers. It was a very poor start — even for a summer series — and the numbers have gotten worse as the weeks have gone by.

The season currently averages a paltry 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.96 million viewers. That’s worse than Sing Your Face Off, a celebrity reality show that was burned off on Saturday nights in June.
To be fair, The Quest has had to compete with football games in some markets and has also been preempted by games on some local ABC stations. The ratings are still very, very low however and the network knew that the series would be interrupted when they scheduled it — a sign that they probably had no faith in it.
In the end, it’s highly unlikely that ABC will want to take a chance on ordering a second season of The Quest.

For a guy that didn’t know about the show until I stumbled on it at Netflix I vote with the have a second season. Enjoyed the show, liked that it was about hero’s and not a bunch of back stabbers getting their 15 minutes. I like the storyline approach and the interaction with the players/participants. It seemed that everyone involved really enjoyed themselves and brought something to the table (round or picnic). A refreshing program for a change and not the same old drab or copycat show.
PLEASE KEEP THIS SHOW! I loved it, it was both heart wrenching and joyous! Seriously i would rather watch this type of show than watch some of the other reality tv shows

I too found this show on Netflix and absolutely loved it! Positive, uplifting, super fun and entertaining. ABC did a disservice by not advertising and promoting this show last summer. From the comments and people I have talked to no one knew this show was on and have only found it through Netflix. I urge ABC to take a look at the positive reception it has received since being on Netflix and not go by last summer ratings alone in determining to renew or not. Promote the show, let people know it’s on, and you’ll have a massive hit.
I thoughly loved it.I am like the rest of them on here though never heard of it until netflix. I have to admit I was rooting for Lina, she is so beautiful. I was also wondering if there is a 2nd season how would one get on the show.
We too had not noticed it while it ran on ABC. Since we found it on Netflix, we can’t get enough. Love the fact that it’s produced by people who did Lord of the rings and Amazing Race. Excellent and fun.
I hadn’t even heard about The Quest until it showed up on Netflix. I watched one episode and couldn’t stop. I canceled all my plans for the day and binged on this uplifting, wonderful show. It’s the first program in a long time that actually made me feel good about network television. Season 2 confirmation couldn’t come fast enough!
Season 2? Please?
I hope you not only make a 2nd season, but more. This is the best reality tv series of all the ones I have watched. My whole family got into it and that is unusual because our girls, (all in their 30’s), have not had the same interest in the same show in years. We all could relate to this show because we all felt we were born into the wrong century. Please do not cancel this show!
This show was so engaging & it left me wanting more. I am so tired of the worn out “reality” shows. I loved the mix of fantasy, reality, and competion. This show was totally refreshing. I WANT MORE! I didn’t even know about it until it showed up on Netflix. ABC needs tongive this show a real chance by advertsing it fairly and not scheduling it around special events. Come on guys listen to yor audience. Remember a little show called Star Trek and what the fans did for it.
Please make a second season! You can’t end it there! I got so into the characters and the storyline! Me and my family loved it so much! It is such a great show! I will spread the word about this show to everyone! Please don’t make this another “Firefly” incident!
