What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, and Morris Chestnut. The series follows a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges on a daily basis. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. In the fourth season, Chastain is transitioning from private to public hospital, causing the hero doctors to fight to fix the broken machine from the inside. The staff includes senior resident internist Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), resident internist Devon Pravesh (Dayal), nurse practitioner Nicolette Nevin (VanCamp), surgical resident Mina Okafor (Wilson), cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. AJ Austin (Warner), orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Kit Voss (Leeves), neurosurgeon Dr. Barrett Cain (Chestnut), and CEO Dr. Randolph Bell (Greenwood).
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of The Resident averaged a 0.55 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.51 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 24% in the demo and down by 13% in viewership. Find out how The Resident stacks up against other FOX TV shows.

I like the Resident. I wish we had Drs like them in the Real World. There are some, but few. I like how they Really Care about their Patients…

Please renew the resident such a good show
One of best dramas in all of tv. I just don’t watch drama or any other series genre on TV at all. The one exception is the Resident. Characters are exquitively defined , diverse and substantive in their personnas. Their performances run the panoply of emotional investment intimately attuned to the scripted evocative story plots. I hope this message isn’t too out of line with what you’d consider average comments..but these words truly reflect my respect for the Resident. Please don’t cancel this show on Fox.
The Resident is the show I watch after a ruff day at work. I watch it on Hulu. I hope it do not get cancelled. It is a wonderful show. I want to see Dr. Cain let his wall down and find love. I hope Nna and AJ stay and get married.

I’d be heartbroken in FOX cancelled the resident and did not bring it back for a fifth season!! I want to continue on Nic and Conrad’s married journey, what will the new resident who Conrad mentored (I forget his name) do about the news that the princess has a kid? I need answers!!

The Resident is one of the best doctor shows and I sure hope it continues. I love the characters and the writing is excellent. It’s very hard for me to understand that this show is in question when another doctor show, THE GOOD DOCTOR is so bad and is always renewed. TGD is poorly written and most of the characters are very annoying, especially Freddy Hightower. His character isn’t annoying but he is. Please keep much better shows on like The Resident.
