The battle for survival will wage on. The War of the Worlds TV series has been renewed for a third season and EPIX will air it in the United States. Production is underway and the new season will launch in 2022. Season two is currently airing on Sunday nights and is expecting to finish on August 1st.
The War of the Worlds TV show stars Gabriel Byrne, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Léa Drucker, Natasha Little, Stéphane Caillard, Adel Bencherif, Ty Tennant, Stephen Campbell Moore, Bayo Gbadamosi, Aaron Heffernan and Emilie de Preissac. The story takes place in present-day Europe and begins as astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy. This serves as definitive proof of intelligent extraterrestrial life. Within days, mankind is all but wiped out by a devastating attack and pockets of humanity are left in an eerily deserted world. Season two sees the characters left reeling by the possibility that the invaders could be human. A tense fight to take back the planet awaits them. For some, the sheer desperation to survive will lead them to contemplate sacrificing one of their own.

Based on the finale of season 2, why would there be a season 3? I mean I love the show but it has no where to go now
So the aliens are in the past before the invasion. They have the virus that Bill created to wipe them out. They will probably weaponize the virus to kill everyone else in season 3 even though there are only a few of them left.
Poor Emily. I was hoping he’d find Sacha instead.
HARLEY KIDD
Being a Sci fi fan all my life I have really enjoyed this series and will look forward to season 3. Hate to wait so long in between season showings.
I love this series! First sci-fi series I’ve seen worth watching in years. Very intriguing and suspenseful. And great acting! I was only familiar with Gabriel Byrne and Elizabeth McGovern, but I’ve really been impressed with everyone. I’m glad they have another season in the pipeline.
Probably one of the best epic scifi shows since the reboot of Battle Star Galactica a few years back. Gritty, smart, and complex. The story line keeps you guessing and wanting more. If you are looking for fancy special effects, it’s not here but if you want an intriguing narrative Epic’s “War of the Worlds” gives you that and much more!
I think a third season could address many things. There are already aliens from the future in the hospital when Emily dies. How did they get there when the alien ships have not invaded yet? Emily and Sacha return to “Planet X” in a ship built by who? If they are the first of their species, did the robot dogs create more ships? Are the ships discovered in the future and capable of time travel with no instructions? When Bill was arrested, his personal belongings are locked away, including the black book. This book is also the “path to the… Read more »
Very disappointed!
I Will be very interested to see how a third series is made possible, given the conclusion of series 2 effectively finished the story. For this reason Good as the series was, I have strong reservations about a third series as this has the potential to destroy the legacy of the first 2 seasons with too much in the way of convoluted time paradoxes etc, a serious danger to the story. (just look at later Terminator movies
I’m on team alien. Exterminate!
I think it’s rather meh, and agree that I don’t see how there can be a third season without having endless time jumps/ loops etc. I will watch it if I get to see Sacha die a long and slow death.
Outstanding. I love this smart, frightening series.
I watched the first season of WOW on Epix and now into the second season, I’m thrilled to see it picked up again for a third season. Please, don’t get it too off the track with a lot of side stuff.
I have watched both seasons of WOW on EPIX. I LOVE THE SHOW and am VERY GLAD it has been renewed for the 3Rd season. I look forward to watching all the seasons!!
I watch this series. You can tell it has a very small budget, which detracts from any SciFi series. Will I continue to watch it will depend on how the story line progresses.
I just saw Season 2 Episode 8 and it really looked like the series finale. How they bring it back for a third season will be tough
I thought it was quite nicely tied up. Should be interesting to see what they do in Season 3. I look forward to it.
