TV show description:
Entertainment magazine editor Sam Briggs (Kyle Bornheimer) desperately wants the parents of his girlfriend, Melanie Clayton (Erinn Hayes), to like him. He and Mel are newly engaged and Sam wants her parents’ blessing. Of course, it probably doesn’t help that Mel is also pregnant.
But Angela (Nancy Lenehan) and Dick (Kurtwood Smith) are wary of Sam because, whenever he visits, a fiasco ensues. Their disapproval of Sam is palpable but he continues to forge on in order to win them over. Unfortunately, the more Sam tries to prove himself to his future in-laws, the bigger a disaster he creates.
While the couple spend a week with the Claytons, leading up to Dick’s birthday, everything that could go wrong, does. Will any of them last long enough for Sam and Mel to make it to the alter? If they do get married, will Dick and Angela survive long enough to become grandparents? They don’t call it Worst Week for nothing!
CBS cancels Worst Week after one season and announces the fall 2009 schedule.
CBS is being boycotted by my household all because of the cancelation of worst week. I hope they regain some sense and bring this show back. Much better than three quarters of what is shown now.
I can not believe with all the junk that is playing on tv these day you would decide to cancel Worst Week… I love this show. By the time the season ended you fell in love with the characters and could not wait to see how Sam would do handling a baby. This show was funny, sweet and kept you on the edge a little…
Please bring back “Worst Week” . This show was so funny without being “stupid” . The whole cast was hilarious!
Please donn’t cancel “week” how many shows are truly funny without crossing the line to being stupid! I think the whole cast was hilarious
I can not believe they would cancel a show that MAKES YOU LAUGH. Which the last I heard was good for you. Finally a cute show with a man that kind of had things happen to him like Lucy used to. Pure fun
so what now
THIS IS THE ONLY SHOW THAT MAKES ME LAUGH OUT LOUD FOR 30 MINUTES STRAIGHT. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT WILL BE GONE!!!
this is part of my monday night line up…if you put this show on first instead of an old episode of accoring to jim then more people would watch it….then of coarse they would watch big bang theory and rules of engagment and how i met your mother and finally two and a half men….this order is a good line up…just put the show back on in this order and see what happens.
Love this show always makes me laugh out loud… first time watching it i almost pee’d myself it was that funny please do not cancel
It would be wise to keep Worst Week. Look at the demographics of the top twenty TV programs. Next, look at the genres of the top grossing movies. (family comedy). Last, look at the TV viewing and movie going trends. Worst week fits. Offbeat programs are fads, but the wholesome comedy endures.
