Aquarius will not air its second season on NBC until later this year, but the future already has its future planned out. David Duchovny, who stars on the NBC series, spoke about the future of the NBC drama during an interview with Variety.
How many seasons does Aquarius want to have on the air? Five, according to Duchovny. He said:
“John McNamara, the creator and showrunner, has five 13-episode seasons in mind,” he says. “If we’re lucky and enough people get involved and watch us, we’ll get to do five. It would be a shame not to. The investment is in the first couple of years, heading towards the catastrophic events of the Tate-LaBianca murders with the Manson family. It’s really the aftermath of that that’s the heart of the show. I hope we get to do it.”
Just yesterday, TV Series Finale reported that Amanda Brooks had been cast in the role of Sharon Tate. Are you a fan of this NBC drama? Would you like to see five seasons? Tell us what you think.
So excited to know there is to be a season 2. What a great show.
It was a little slow-moving but overall we enjoyed it very much. We do hope that it returns.
Can’t wait for the next season. This is the best I’ve seen Duchovney
Just finished the first season on DVD and would love to see more,
Couldn’t agree more! Waiting for season 2!
Yes, I really like this show. Duchovney is perfect. I can’t wait for the next season to start. Hurry up!
Loving this show! Please continue it! David Duchovney has never looked better, I am patiently waiting it’s return!
Can’t wait for the new season to begin! It will be interesting to see how the series develops over four seasons.
I was really disappointed that the show didn’t come back. I really wanted to see what happened.
Would LOVE to see more! I’d been checking online to see if I could find anything about future seasons.
This is a great new series! Captures the LA vibes at the time perfectly not mention Hollywood couldn’t dream up what actually happened. I know I grew up in this area. First season episodes just got better and better as it went a long. Great to hear it has a strong potential for several more years.
No point in airing a series on Saturday’s for Five Seasons. Just Air it online.
I wasn’t sure about watching this, but the more I did, the more I became engrossed in it. Glad to hear it is going to continue and look forward to getting back into the story.
I am very much looking forward to the next four seasons. It was slow going at first but I think it will only become more exciting as the events on which it is based start to come together. I hope they introduce all the victims to the show this season so that we can see how their lives were going in the lead up to the murders.
I lived through this era, so I find the show fascinating and hope it gets its full run. Seeing what was going on leading up to Tate’s murder is filling in a lot of gaps. Every show has its low points, but I see things moving forward in a positive direction dramatically.
Started off strong and then fell flat, surprised it was renewed. can’t imagine why the network would invest in 5 years of crap
