Is Baskets coming back? Recently, star Zach Galifianakis told Collider FX has renewed the TV show for a fourth season.
The comedy stars Galifianakis as Chip Baskets, a classically trained French clown who moves back to his hometown of Bakersfield, California. The cast also includes Louie Anderson and Martha Kelly.
Baskets is currently in its third season. And while FX has not confirmed a season four renewal, Galifianakis says the series will return:
Yeah, we’re gonna do Baskets again. That’s coming back. I don’t know if they’ve let that be known, but that is coming back.”
And what’s in store for the new season? Galifianakis added:
I know what I want to do for the next season. Whether that will survive in the writers’ room, I don’t know. I come in with my ideas, and they talk me out of it, even though it’s my show.”

Baskets is one of two shows that I only watch! I love all the characters but particularly sweet Christine. Season 4 must return. The show brings Joy to a lot of people.
I saw Louie Anderson on a show midway season two, they showed a clip and I was instantly hooked! I have now seen all 3 seasons and so disappointed that there are only 10 episodes per season. I know this summer I will get some friends to binge watch all episodes some weekend! Love, Love, Love this show!!!! All the characters!!!
I did not see the first two seasons . I would love to see . I just tuned in the middle of season 3 but I am enjoying the reruns. I love Christine especially butI have grown to love all the characters !!! Yes, some of the subject matter was very dark but when it was funny ….it was HILARIOUS !!! Yes, I would like for it to be more lighhearted but I look forward to the episodes and watch some several times. Please keep the Seasons going !!! I laugh out loud at Baskets (Dale) and think this is one of the BEST sitcoms on tv. Zach is super in both roles, but his Dale character ‘s comments are hilarious! Please renew this show!!!!
I still loved season three but it had a sad side to the characters especially Dale I know he’s a jackass but I felt really sorry for him maybe season four could be a little more upbeat but I love Zack and I think Baskets is a great show!
I was one of the biggest fans of the show the first two seasons. I don’t know what happened in season 3, but the shows were terrible; bad enough to stop watching. If I could be guaranteed that season 4 would be as exceptional as the first two seasons, I would anxiously look forward to watching the show once again. I was certain that the show would be canceled after Season 3. What happened? I am still disappointed and confused as to why the episodes were so awful.
I am a loyal fan, but yes I am disappointed with Season 3. Too dark. Whoever is that is shutting down his ideas should be fired because it’s not working. It’s a shame though, I loved the first two seasons.
