The networks are looking at their fall schedules and trying to prepare for the possibility of Covid-19 keeping production shutdown for a longer period of time. Blood & Treasure is one of the shows in limbo. The series started production on its second season in October, and it is assumed that production wrapped before the shutdown started in March.
Blood & Treasure was set to premiere its new season over the summer, but it might be held in the can until the fall. CBS Entertainment President, Kelly Kahl, said the following about their plans, per Deadline:
“We have many options, you’ve seen how we’ve been able to be nimble over the last few weeks. We have a lot of options at our disposal and since the merger, we’ve got even more options, so whenever we can get our shows together, leading up to that, we’re not going to be airing a test pattern on any nights. We’re keeping our options open.”

Yes, please bring this tv show back. I was looking for a reason to watch tv this summer. My husband and I made sure to watch Blood & Treasure. By the way, we use an antenna on our roof to watch tv. Please don’t forget about the homes that aren’t using companies to view tv shows.

Not sure why the network would think holding it back ’til fall would be a better idea? While everyone is stuck watching old reruns, the ratings for a new season would be even higher! I thought maybe they didn’t get production done, and that was the reason for the lack of a May release. Now I read the network is holding it back? for what reason? Are they concerned they won’t have enough shows for fall? Definitely want Blood and Treasure back! Love it!! Have been waiting and checking to see when Season 2 will begin to air. It is a topic of conversation with many friends!

Air it now, waiting is a huge mistake. When there’s to much time between season’s people tend to forget about them which causes lower ratings and then cancellation. If that happens here it’ll be the network’s fault 100%.
My 81 year old Mother and I both enjoyed the first season of Blood and Treasure so much! We have greatly anticipated and looked forward to the next season so much. We keep checking to see when it will come on. Please bring it back for late summer!!! We do not enjoy all the silly game shows that have been on the last few weeks. We do enjoy shows with”substance”, an actual story line, a little mystery and suspence. But, not with a lot of blood and gore or a lot of bad language. Thank you for letting me leave… Read more »
