The Crossing has some new company. Deadline reports Melinda McGraw will recur on the upcoming ABC TV show.
The drama follows “refugees from a war-torn country [who] seek asylum in a small American fishing town, only the country these people are from is America – and the war they are fleeing hasn’t happened yet.” The cast includes Steve Zahn, Natalie Martinez, Sandrine Holt, Rick Gomez, Jay Karnes, Marcuis Harris, and Simone Kessel.
It’s unclear what role McGraw will be playing on The Crossing, but the drama is set to premiere on ABC in early 2018.
What do you think? Does The Crossing intrigue you? Will you watch the ABC series?
—The idea of a future United States where genetic modification has led to a split so bad a civil war breaks out makes me envious of the executive producers of the ABC show. I could imagine several Liberty Ships worth of plot details I would want to see on the show. But, this is ABC, where “ressurection” and “flash forward” came and went. So everything about this makes me wonder.
