Is Sheriff Hollister up to the job in the first season of the Deputy TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Deputy is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Deputy here. *Status update below.
A FOX crime drama, Deputy was created by Will Beall and stars Stephen Dorff, Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses. The show follows an ensemble of ambitious and complicated people who won’t rest until justice is served. The story begins when the elected Sheriff of LA County dies and an arcane rule in the county charter suddenly thrusts the most unlikely man into the job. A true “white hat”, Bill Hollister (Dorff) is a fifth-generation lawman and is only interested in justice. His close team includes Deputy Cade Ward (Van Holt), Deputy Brianna Bishop (Taylor-Klaus), and Deputy Joseph Harris (McGhie). Hollister frequently butts heads with Doctor Paula Reyes (Martinez), chief trauma surgeon of LA County General Hospital and also, Hollister’s wife.
What do you think? Which season one episodes of the Deputy TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Do you think that Deputy should be cancelled or renewed for a second season on FOX? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*4/3/20 update: FOX has cancelled the Deputy TV series after one season.
Deputy was the first show in a long time that my husband really liked and watched – please bring it back.
Please bring Deputy back, it was one of the best and more original shows on.
This show should’ve been renewed. So much more storyline and great acting. Sad you cancel good shows and keep on the trash.
The Deputy was the best show on TV.
Please bring it back best show on t.v
I really sad when a show is canceled after one season, why not give it a chance..Move it to a different day/time..Deputy was a fabulous show, give it another chance either a different day or a different time slot..Nobody gives the great show’s a chance they keep the crappy show’s on..Very dissapointed in Fox!!!!
Please bring this show back, it was amazing and had everything in it. Family, drama, action. This is one amazing show, if you let it go, you will letting go of a show that could be a popular as the Chicago shows. The one thing that you need to do is advertise more about the show because i never saw a add once about this show. Bring it back
You are right!! I never saw any ads for “Depuyy”. Stephen Dorff was well know for action movies.
I totally agree with Patty !!!! I am sick of all the brainless shows. This show held my attention, had a great storyline, and sub stories, and it was a show I would look forward to watching Bring it back !!!
I believe Deputy was cancelled- this is such a good show. Sorry it’s not going to return
DEPUTY WAS A GOOD SHOW AND I HATE THAT YA’LL CANCELLED IT.
Another GREAT show cancelled! I agree with the others that the over 30 generation is not considered when these decisions are made. Brainless shows like “The Bachelor”, “Naked & Afraid” (I think that’s the name) are renewed while shows of substance are cancelled! Network execs should rethink this one.
I am 58 and my Wife is 48 We both liked this show very much, you can’t always judge these shows by the Mindless 18-29 year olds. Persons really do not start to take life seriously until after age 30. PLEASE RENEW FOX, or perhaps another network can pick it up Like CBS, would be a nice replacement for Hawahii 5-0
That would be a great replacement for Hawaii 5-0. Love Love The Deputy. please bring it back.
I like this show . It was good . Now what do I watching TV it’s all bs .
Deputy was a very good series with scenes with lots of tension. The human part, apart from solving crimes, is well performed to put the felons behind bars.
Please consider a renewed seadon
I think Fox cancelled a great show. Again they never think of the older generation when it comes to ratings. Well Fox guess you lost another viewer, hope you guys get your act together because a lot of people don’t like your programing decisions.
I would think NBC or CBS would want this show and The Brave too, and Bluff City Law
Good shows wiped out by the PC Police
