God Friended Me was recently cancelled by CBS, and now the cast is reacting to the move by the network. Brandon Michael Hall, Violett Beane and others on the cast spoke about the series ending on social media.
Per TV Line, Hall revealed the following about the cancellation of God Friended Me:
“There’s something to be said for an artist to be able to wake up every single day and work with a group of people who you can honestly call your family. The hardest thing is knowing I’m not going to be able to… work with them [every day].”

Yes!!!! When the show first came on, I wasn’t going to watch, but these past seasons I was Hooked. Whenever my life was in the bottom of hell, I watched the show and just about every single episode I cried but it was a healing and Happy cry. I will really miss all of ya’ll.
What is wrong with the people that make these decisions? ABC has cancelled way too many good shows. It’s not all about numbers all the time! Good shows need to stay!!! Boo Hoo!!!
I agree. It’s a tear jerker but, good stories usually are. I’m gonna miss it.

Very upset about being cancelled. Very few programs on tv are worth watching. And this one was at the top of the list.
It’s very disappointing to not see this show after this season. I really enjoyed the storyline and the cast was amazing. My desire is that you rethink this terrible decision to cancel the show
I’m 70 years old and can honestly say that I cannot remember ever being so disappointed to see a program cancelled. Since the first episode, I have been hooked and have looked forward every week to seeing the next episode. I love the cast, and the storyline is so gripping that I just hate to see it end. These actors are extremely talented, and their performances have brought out my emotions on many occasions. I really wish CBS would reconsider this move.
God Friended Me shows how kindhearted and helpful people can be with each other. Finally a show that shows compassion and no violence. It teaches us that God has a plan and this show captures that. I always looked forward to watching God Friended Me and will miss it.

I cannot believe you cancelled this show. It is so good and the actors are great. It is so nice to see common kindness especially in this day and age. Shame on you.

YES! What’s the problem? NETFLIX takes a year to produce another season of shows. Take time after the virus is over to get your cast back together! I LOVE THIS SHOW! I think the problem is there’s not enough gratuitous sex, stupidity and violence in this
show. That’s why it’s being canceled. Don’t cancel this show! It’s wonderful! I love it without the the sex, stupidity and violence. This show is wonderful….it has value, substance, and a great message… one of the few shows on tv!!!!
Just saw the series finale promo. Very upset. Show gives hope during this turbulent time. CBS has duplicates of the same type of show. Move to CBS Access at least. God is watching!
I’m very upset that they cancelled this show my daughter and I really enjoyed watching it. It was a great family oriented show. I guess there was not enough drama and violence like everything else on TV.
What a shame that a decent feel good show that can make you forget the tensions we all live in is cancelled. I guess it didn’t have enough killing, blood, rape, sex, bad language, stupid competitions and weird characters in it to succeed. I’m glad I have a library card because I’m about done with tv
This is one of the few good shows left on TV. We need more positive ,uplifting shows and less canned comedy that is politically and ethically correct. Or shows that have so much violence in them. We need the relief with God Friended Me. I am extremely upset that you chose to cancel the show. I’m watching more and more old reruns because so many of the new shows aren’t worth watching.
I love God Friended Me, why cancel this show, 2 yrs just got us going and knowing characters. Please consider keeping this show.
