Syfy is going into the woods. According to Deadline, the network is developing a new series based on the Dark Horse comic Harrow County.
Written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Tyler Crook, the comic features Emmy, a teenage girl who finds “ghosts, goblins, and the restless dead” in her neighboring forest. Later on, she discovers “she is connected to these creatures and to the land itself in a way she never imagined, for she is the reincarnation of a powerful witch who was put to death on the very day Emmy was born.”
The series is being written by Becky Kirsch, who has previously worked on Syfy’s Dominion and Twelve Monkeys.
What do you think? Are you a fan of the original Harrow County comic? Would you watch the series?
I’ve read some of this series but I must admit I’m not as familar with it as I am with the many Marvel’ series. I am willing to give it a try.
