What’s This TV Show About?
A Syfy superhero drama based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, Krypton is a Superman prequel from executive producers David S. Goyer and Cameron Welsh. The series stars Cameron Cuffe, Shaun Sipos, Georgina Campbell, Colin Salmon, Ann Ogbomo, Aaron Pierre, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Blake Ritson, and Ian McElhinney. Unfolding 200 years before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, the story centers on Kal-El’s grandfather, Seg-El (Cuffe). Seg is faced with the starkest of choices. He can either save Krypton, or allow its destruction, in order to protect the fate of his future grandson. Season two kicks off with a changed Kandor fighting for its freedom, and General Dru-Zod (Salmon) is in control.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Krypton averaged a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 408,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 54% and 48%, respectively. Find out how Krypton stacks up against the other Syfy TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will Syfy cancel or renew Krypton for season three? Last year, this series was the channel’s highest-rated series. The ratings are way down this year but it’s still doing well when compared to other Syfy shows. The channel has also cancelled several other TV shows lately and the execs (theoretically) can’t cancel everything. So, I think that will help keep this one safe and Krypton will be renewed. This series has been cancelled because it is trash. It is a a joke that Seg-el is in love with that idiot of Lyta. He is a bad hero. A joke. Having Nyssa… Lol he does not seem straight.

Hope HBO picks this up, was a good show that Syfy didn’t know what to do with, actually since BSG and and the Stargate series, Syfy has kinda sucked. + if something like HBO picks it up it can get much more hardcore and it would diversify them a bit from being the home of Game of Thrones which almost everyone agrees that last season sucked and probably made them feel terrible about wasting all that money on it.
Need a season 3 of krypton . Cant leave it ending like that.

The best thing that could happen to Krypton would be a move to any other channel that isn’t SYFY. Preferably a streaming network or app that hasn’t been killed (rip DCU).
It would be too bad if it were canceled, the writing is getting tight. We now how the story ends—The time conflict is resolved with the destruction of Krypton.
I’m hearing the show has indeed been cancelled which is a shame because the ratings wouldn’t be so low has this show not been a SYFY show and available to view in the U.K.

Their agents and managers. Lol seriously though SYFY has cancelled everything on the downlow and the towns a buzz. Rumor is that SYFY might be shutting down. A big change is about to happen in cable across the board now that big mergers have taken place as things slowly move towards streaming. That and no one watches SYFY. It’s where great shows go to die. Fingers crossed Warner saves Krypton. Best VFX on tv right now period.
It does have great VFX, and is a uniquely amazing series. Krypton Season 3!
