Legion is looking ready to go over at FX. During the winter TCA press tour, FX chief John Landgraf said the Marvel series may be released later this year.
Legion is based on the Marvel comic of the same name, which follows the mutant son of X-Men Professor Charles Xavier.
During the press tour, Landgraf said the sets for the series are already being built and scripts are being written. Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley was set to write the pilot for the series. In addition to being “optimistic” about Legion going to series, Landgraf also commented on the parallels between the show and the X-Men movies:
It takes place in a parallel universe. The US government is in the early days of being aware of mutants, but not the public. I don’t foresee any characters moving back and forth (between the movies and the series).”
What do you think? Do you read Legion the comic? Will you watch the series?
