Magnum and Higgins will keep sparring into the 2021-22 television season. The CBS network has renewed the Magnum PI series for a fourth year.
An action-adventure series, Magnum PI stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang, and Amy Hill. This reboot of the 1980s TV show follows Thomas Magnum (Hernandez), a decorated former Navy SEAL who repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. He lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business. The “majordomo” of the property is Juliet Higgins (Weeks), a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent who keeps Magnum in line. When Magnum needs back-up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors, chopper pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin (Hill) and Orville “Rick” Wright (Knighton), a former Marine door-gunner who now runs a nightclub. Magnum frequently has run-ins with police detective Gordon Katsumoto (Kang) and the two are more alike than either cares to admit. The unofficial “House Mom” and cultural curator of Robin’s Nest, Teuila “Kumu” Tuileta (Hill) is also one of Magnum’s biggest fans.
Airing on Friday nights, the third season of Magnum PI averages a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.66 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season two, that’s down by 19% in the demo and down by 15% in viewership. In the traditional ratings, the show ranks 12th out of this season’s 24 scripted CBS series in the demo but is eighth in overall viewers.
Today, the network also renewed Blue Bloods (season 12), Bull (season six), Blue Bloods (season 12), NCIS (season 19), and SWAT (season five). It was previously announced that fellow Friday night occupant MacGyver has been cancelled and will end on April 30th.

Yes I like it, not much TV is worth watching anymore, they have canceled Longmire and about the only thing I watch is the Magnum PI reboot and Lone Star Law, everything else is just too political, I also like the old Magnum PI

OMG! I love this remake! Took me the first few weeks to get into the new character actors, especially, the female Higgins. But now I love it!!!! It basically has the same “flavor” as the original, but updated a bit for the current era. I am so very, very happy it has been renewed!!! Looking forward to the new episodes for the 21-22 season and hope it will be renewed for a few season more!!!!
I love Magnum PI. I am very happy it got renewed. It is a Friday night staple for me to watch and record in case I can’t watch it on Fridays.
So glad they are doing a fourth season. My self and my Husband have enjoyed it so much.
Happy with new rebooted magnum pi is back for a fourth season. Plse do something about Higgins and magnum they’re like chalk and cheeese but work so well together I’m sure they’d be great together in love. Hopefully that’s to come.
Glad Magnum PI has been renewed for a forth season ! All the actors are great, and very likable. The production values are awesome . I didn’t think I would like it as I was a big fan of the first Magnum PI , but this is even better then the first ! The aloha spirit is alive , and on full display in this show !

Yay, happy that Magnum PI is renewed. I love this show. I watched the original one years ago and find this version as good or better. Great characters and love the Dobermans!! A good way to chill out on Fridays!!

Magnum PI! It’s my action, adventure along with comic relief, fun and friendship show. After an up and down week of work, it’s my feel good show to start off my weekend! If I fall asleep Friday night I have it DVRed to watch first thing it the morning! I love how the show creates a great balance of emotions and in the end leaves you feeling hopeful of good caring people in this world! I look forward to a 4th season!
