The supernatural mysteries will continue. The CW has renewed the Nancy Drew TV show for a second season. The series typically airs on Wednesday nights.
Nancy Drew stars Kennedy McMann, Scott Wolf, Alex Saxon, Leah Lewis, Maddison Jaizani, Tunji Kasim, Riley Smith, and Alvina August. Nancy Drew (McMann) is a brilliant teenage detective whose sense of self had come from solving mysteries in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine – until her mother’s untimely death derails Nancy’s college plans. Devastated by her mother’s passing, Nancy swears off crime-solving while waiting until she can re-apply to college. But when a socialite is murdered, Nancy finds herself a prime suspect in the crime, along with a group of other teens present at the scene. A supernatural presence begins to haunt Nancy’s investigation, she discovers that the current crime has a connection to the long-unsolved murder of a local girl.
The first season of Nancy Drew is averaging a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 773,000 viewers.
The first season of Nancy Drew (comprised of 22 episodes) will resume on Wednesday, January 15th. Season two will air as part of the 2020-21 season which kicks off in Fall 2020.

I wrote much better books but nobody wanted to read those.” Well, now its really trashy with the monsters and sex and I love it! Am up to ep 12 and so glad to hear that there will be a season 2!

hmary6570: I started to watch Nancy Drew because I love mystery shows and movies. I have not been disappointed at all. I love how the young teenagers started out not so sure of each other but they have come together to solve all the problems and mysteries that has been handed to them.

I had my doubts about the show, I read the books when I was little and loved them then. This show has a new twist and I surprisingly like it. It combines a supernatural element to find the real life monsters. I’m glad it was renewed.
I will start watching it. I was very disappointed with the direction the first season took. Anyone who read the Nancy Drew series would be. Nancy was a young girl who solved mysteries. Those mysteries had real people at the center of the plot. Not supernatural demons. They took a well written series and messed it up.
I love it! I enjoyed all the books as an 11 year old many years ago. Technology has only made the sleuthing better!
