Can a creator outsmart his creation in the first season of the neXt TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like neXt is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of neXt here. *Status Update Below.
A FOX action-thriller series, the neXt TV show stars John Slattery, Elizabeth Cappuccino, Jason Butler Harner, Fernanda Andrade, Eve Harlow, Aaron Moten, Michael Mosley, Evan Whitten, and Gerardo Celasco. The story revolves around Silicon Valley pioneer Paul LeBlanc (Slattery) who built a fortune and his legacy on his world-changing innovations. After discovering that one of his own creations — a powerful artificial intelligence called “neXt” — might spell doom for humankind, Paul tried to shutter the project, only to be kicked out of the company by his own brother (Harner). When a series of unsettling tech mishaps points to a potential worldwide crisis, LeBlanc joins forces with Special Agent Shea Salazar (Andrade) and her unique and talented team. Now, they are the only ones standing in the way of a potential global catastrophe, fighting an emergent superintelligence that will deploy the immense knowledge it has gleaned from the data all around us to recruit allies, turn people against each other, and eliminate obstacles to its own survival and growth.

Fantastic series. Why does FOX always seem to be so short-sighted. Hopefully another network will be smart enough to pick this up…are you listening NETFLIX? AMAZON?

During this pandemic period, television quality has suffered a great deal. Many of my favorite shows were forced to shut down filming. Old reruns became so monotonous. When “NEXT” arrived, I got excited again, a feeling I hadn’t felt in months – looking so forward to the next episode. “Next” has had excellent script writing, a relevant storyline and theme, and spot-on casting. This series was excellent. So disappointed it will be cancelled. It was a clean, action packed series which is difficult to find these days. I’m really frustrated that it’s already over when there is so much left to work with for a second season. We have just really started to get to know the characters in the series. So many questions left unansweed… Will there be a cure? Is he really alive? Will the family be reunited? Is Next back? Please reconsider!

I love this show. It creeps me out. I can’t believe it is being canceled.
Next is so addictive I can’t believe they canceled it. If they aired it consistently more people may have stuck around. I Hope another network picks this up. Also liked Under the Dome which was cancelled. Why is it that every scripted show I like gets canceled. This is why I turn to reality tv, I don’t have to invest as much.
Agree, but never again will I watch “reality TV” after suffering through a reality show “prez”.

Well it was a really great show I wish There was a season 2 I have stop watching Fox Because of a lot of their discontinuing my favourite shows But next was definitely one of them Please think twice About discontinuing it. I might start watching Fox again.

I get tired of all the “Cop” shows, and look forward to something different, like Emergence, Manifest, Evil, another one that was cancelled, Zoo. I also loved Under The Dome. It makes me sick when I get really interested in a TV show only for it to go Poof! And there it goes.

The show ‘Next’ is awesome and brutally honest. Must be why it’s been cancelled. Fox ALWAYS cancels the good shows, which is why they just don’t have the viewers they once had many, many years ago. The truth is, I bet this would happen after watching the second episode. It was never advertised properly, so no one knew to turn in. I found the show by pure while simply looking for something to watch one evening, saw it, read what ‘Next’ was about, gave it a shot and ended up being pleasantly pleased, for a change. You’re right Fox does cancel all of the good shows I’m actually scared to invest in this network because I always feel like I’m gonna lose the show.

I also just happen on this show, one weekend when Fox had shows to binge on and I watched most of them, got hooked, love the series ! WTF , its getting Cancelled!! Why???!! They seem to always take the good ones! Hope its picked up elsewhere!!
You should try a TiVo or ROKU TV. I never had to find the show or worry I’d missed it. They just show up even if it changes dates/times. Amazing tech.
