What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, the Prodigal Son TV series stars Tom Payne, Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, Halston Sage, and Keiko Agena. Malcolm Bright (Payne) is an extraordinary criminal psychologist who knows how killers think and how their minds work. In the 1990s, his father, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), was a notorious serial killer called “The Surgeon” who killed at least 23 people. Since murder is “the family business”, Malcolm uses his twisted genius for good, to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers. He works alongside his longtime mentor, Gil Arroyo (Phillips), and two detectives — no-nonsense Dani Powell (Perrineau) and JT Tarmel (Harts), a born-and-bred New Yorker who questions whether Bright is a psychopath himself.

Will FOX cancel or renew Prodigal Son for season two? Right now, I think it will be renewed but that prediction could change if the ratings keep dropping. FOX has ordered a full season of 22 episodes so that’s a positive sign. I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. Hello. I rarely ever watch TV and as my husband was changing channels one day, this series caught my eye. All I did was watch one episode and I was hooked!!! Have not missed one episode since it started and would be very disappointed if this was canceled. Fox should be flattered that for someone who doesn’t care to watch ANY TV; they’ve hooked me ( :

The show is suspenseful deep dark funny full of a very unique cast and a very sexy leading man you have to renew this show and I would like to know as soon as possible when the second season coming out please people can I get an amen
I loved Prodigal Son. I watched it in one day. It was excellent. Please renew it for a second season… I need to see what happens in Season 2.

This show is awesome. Just watched the first 5 episodes and my husband and I are hooked! Do NOT cancel this show. It’s like watching Sherlock Holmes (loved this show) & Silence of the Lambs all rolled into one. I’d be interested to see where this series goes. Plus, tv ratings are so different now so if Fox cancels this then send it to Netflix so they can continue the series bc I want to watch this!
This was a very diverting series. I loved it and would be upset to have it canceled. The thing I like about serial killer series is the process they go through to catch them.
