What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, the Prodigal Son TV series stars Tom Payne, Michael Sheen, Bellamy Young, Lou Diamond Phillips, Aurora Perrineau, Frank Harts, Halston Sage, and Keiko Agena. Malcolm Bright (Payne) is an extraordinary criminal psychologist who knows how killers think and how their minds work. In the 1990s, his father, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), was a notorious serial killer called “The Surgeon” who killed at least 23 people. Since murder is “the family business”, Malcolm uses his twisted genius for good, to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers. He works alongside his longtime mentor, Gil Arroyo (Phillips), and two detectives — no-nonsense Dani Powell (Perrineau) and JT Tarmel (Harts), a born-and-bred New Yorker who questions whether Bright is a psychopath himself.

Will FOX cancel or renew Prodigal Son for season two? Right now, I think it will be renewed but that prediction could change if the ratings keep dropping. FOX has ordered a full season of 22 episodes so that’s a positive sign. I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. Its one of my favorite shows. I look forward to it every week. I watch on Hulu since I don’t have Fox. PLEASE RENEW!!! The acting is terrific & the story lines always grab me. I can’t say that about too many shows these days.
I love this show. I don’t know if the full 1st season has aired. But the pilot aired again February 24 and I’m watching it for the 2nd time. If you haven’t tried this show spend the weekend binging. There’s plenty of suspense to enjoy!!
Love this show just binge watched to whole first season and as soon as it ended. I found my self here trying to find out when season two would be coming out. So please I vote yes would love to see many more seasons. Found this show and the actors to be absolutely perfect. Very suspenseful always keeps you interested in more.
Omg i love this program i am a massive fan of svu and criminal minds and this is right up there with them, Im sick of loosing amazing shows on fox i get stuck in and they get cancelled its so annoying, Please keep this going ***
I’m way too obsessed with this show. I get SO overly excited while watching. Tom Payne is just amazing and I absolutely LOVE the storyline. This is by far the best tv show I’ve EVER watched, and that’s saying a lot! If this show doesn’t get renewed for season 2 I’ll ball my eyes out for the rest of my existence. WE NEED MORE SEASONS OF PRODIGAL SON!

This is my favorite show for this season. It has drama with a little bit of humor. Absolutely love this show and hope to see it renewed another season.

Definitely DO NOT cancel this show. It’s the first one, in my opinion, that is totally different from any other in a very long time. I am a diehard fan of Prodigal Son.
