Annie Bello won’t get to fight for new causes in the 2021-22 television season. ABC has cancelled the Rebel TV series so there won’t be a second year.
A drama, the Rebel TV show is inspired by the life of activist Erin Brockovich today and stars Katey Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio, and Andy Garcia. Annie “Rebel” Bello (Sagal) is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant, and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.
Airing on Thursday nights, the first season of Rebel averages a 0.43 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.23 million viewers in the live+same day ratings.
The cancellation doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The series follows Grey’s Anatomy on the schedule but performs poorly in the ratings and loses a lot of its lead-in audience. It’s one of the lowest-rated freshman series on the network this season.

Another good solid show that had not been given a chance to grow. Great performances and nice writing. It will be missed.
I love the series Rebel, what Is wrong with the network for not trying to give it a chance. It’s a very exciting show and there’s good actors. It’s better than watching some of the boring series that are on TV of everybody sitting in the living room like the Conners and complaining about everything. Rebel is exciting action packed and brilliantly portrayed by the actors. Maybe it should be moved to a different network or even have Netflix pick it up I bet you it would be a success.
I am very disappointed to learn that Rebel will not be returning for a second season! I loved watching this series as it is punchy and real and the characters are not glamorous but genuine

Really upset they didn’t give it a chance at all.. and yet they keep other really crappy shows on forever… really upset.. they better at least finish it!!
GREAT SHOW! I googled to see how many episodes are in the first season, and saw that it got cancelled. I’m sooooo disappointed. Come on ABC!

I’m pissed they cancelled Rebel it didn’t even have a chance to get any rating or audience what 4 episodes in and its pulled seriously I loved the show and their are millions who did not alone this was so unfair to katey sagal who was so proud of this show devastated to say the least save Rebel
Love this show! The network didn’t even give a chance! Yet they will keep these brain numbing shows that are same concepts over and over again. Give this show another season! The actors are phenomenal and the story is so relevant!
This is ALWAYS what happens. Start watching a decent show and writers get rid of it .
