Annie Bello won’t get to fight for new causes in the 2021-22 television season. ABC has cancelled the Rebel TV series so there won’t be a second year.
A drama, the Rebel TV show is inspired by the life of activist Erin Brockovich today and stars Katey Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio, and Andy Garcia. Annie “Rebel” Bello (Sagal) is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant, and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.
Airing on Thursday nights, the first season of Rebel averages a 0.43 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.23 million viewers in the live+same day ratings.
The cancellation doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The series follows Grey’s Anatomy on the schedule but performs poorly in the ratings and loses a lot of its lead-in audience. It’s one of the lowest-rated freshman series on the network this season.

I can’t believe they cancelled Rebel! What an entertaining show this is! I’m very disappointed.
Why do they keep canceling shows that are fresh concepts, witty, intelligent have talented actors yet keep renewing copy cat game shows, reality shows that are obviously staged? I understand ratings however why not try changing the line up before canceling a show.
I love Rebel!! It had a well know cast and such a good story line. I really hope ABC reconsiders or Netflix picks it up. This show was like nothing else out there and a little ray of hope in this world.
I can’t believe that you canceled Rebel!! Please dont cancel it!!! I really love this show. It’s got alot if character and I love the actors. I’m so tired of getting into great shows and you cancel them. It really makes you not want to even watch TV. Please consider renewing Rebel!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally found a series I like and they cancel, so disappointed. Finally found a show with a strong presence of females.
Please keep Rebel going..what were you thinking?? And American Housewives, no loose ends tied up, who makes these decisions???
This is one program my family totally enjoys! Please don’t cancel, as there’s so few good shows on anymore. This is one of the better ones.
ABC got it right by renewing A Million Little Things, but they got it oh so wrong by cancelling Rebel. It is such a good show. Katie Sagal. Is a great actress.

We love Rebel. It has a lot of directions to go in. I think ABC made a big mistake canceling this show.
I can’t believe it! It’s a great series that I, frankly wasn’t sure I was going to like. But it’s great! Give it another time slot but for heaven’s sake give it another Season!! Booo!

Sorry Rebel is cancelled. Another network needs to pick it up, preferably netflix or Huku, a streaming network
