What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC comedy-drama, The Rookie stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin, Mercedes Mason, Melissa O’Neil, Afton Williamson, and Eric Winter. The story centers on John Nolan (Fillion), a small-town guy who, after a life-changing experience, decides to pursue his dream of being an LAPD officer. Now he’s the oldest rookie on the force, and the brass thinks he’s just having a midlife crisis. He’s got to keep up with his younger co-workers (not to mention young criminals) or he’ll risk lives. Maybe though, he can use the experience he’s gained with age, and the determination he has developed over the years, to make a real go of it. Either way, he’s got a secret weapon — his sense of humor.

Will ABC cancel or renew The Rookie for season two? The ratings haven’t been very good but I suspect the network will give this series every chance to succeed. My guess is that it will be cancelled but ABC could renew it and make some changes to try to improve the ratings. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I love watching The Rookie and love the actor. I watched him in Castle, and was happy to see that he came back in another tv series…. so I hope it doesn’t get cancelled cuz that would break my heart…

Absolutely love this show – every episode is better than the last. It’s been written that Tues @ 10 is ABC’s worst spot – so I wish they’d put it in a spot more people might watch. Nathan Fillion is such a charming, easy to like actor, and the rest o the cast is great as well.
This show is excellent and should be given a chance to survive. The characters and story and are just as good, with humor and excitement it is a fun ride. The show also offers some surprise and shocking endings and I think anyone who likes this this show would agree.

Please don’t cancel The Rookie. It’s the best new show on the air. I started watching because it stars Nathan Fallon, but I love the whole cast and the scripts are wonderful. Would hate to see it go.
I have stopped watching programs on 2,5 and 7 as there wasn’t any good programs to watch. Until you put The Rookie on the air. Absolutely love the characters and the content of the story. Also love, Wiskey Calvier and The Fix. First time in over 4 years there is something worth while to watch on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday instead of the reruns of Mash, I love Raymond, Last Man Standing etc.

I love watching the Rookie, I was disappointed be when it did not air 3/12 with no information as to why. This is one of my favorite. Please bring it back!!!!
