What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC comedy-drama, The Rookie stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin, Mercedes Mason, Melissa O’Neil, Afton Williamson, and Eric Winter. The story centers on John Nolan (Fillion), a small-town guy who, after a life-changing experience, decides to pursue his dream of being an LAPD officer. Now he’s the oldest rookie on the force, and the brass thinks he’s just having a midlife crisis. He’s got to keep up with his younger co-workers (not to mention young criminals) or he’ll risk lives. Maybe though, he can use the experience he’s gained with age, and the determination he has developed over the years, to make a real go of it. Either way, he’s got a secret weapon — his sense of humor.

Will ABC cancel or renew The Rookie for season two? The ratings haven’t been very good but I suspect the network will give this series every chance to succeed. My guess is that it will be cancelled but ABC could renew it and make some changes to try to improve the ratings. I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I love everything about this show and I really hope that it is not canceled.
The Rookie is one of our favorite shows.We always record it so there is no chance of missing it. The story line and photography is the best. Please renew it!
I love the Rookie. We watch it every week. I even record the show. So everyone in my house can watch it when they are home. It is all of our favorite show to watch. Please bring it back the show is awesome.
I agree with the majority here – please renew this show, our family truly enjoys this show and would be deeply disappointed if the show was not renewed.

Please do not cancel The Rookie
I believe it’s one of the best shows on t.v. it has had everything to offer from comedy drama action suspense loyalty leadership. The list goes on. To not have season 2 or more would be a huge mistake. I wasn’t sure about the show at first till I decided to watch it and when I did I was hooked. I like also that the show isn’t just about cops it’s about friends and families as well. And I believe if this show gets cancelled there will be a lot of angry people including myself. I vote for keeping The Rookie. Really great show and there doesn’t seem to be many of those these days.
