Bravo Team is preparing to stand down. Paramount+ has announced that SEAL Team is ending with its upcoming seventh season. Production begins next month and the final episodes will begin airing in 2024.
A military action-adventure series, the SEAL Team TV show stars David Boreanaz, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley, Toni Trucks, Jessica Pare, and Raffi Barsoumian. The story centers on an elite Navy SEAL unit as they train for, plan for, and risk their lives to carry out perilous missions for the sake and honor of their country. Despite the hardship it causes them and their families, this SEAL team is ready, willing, and able to embark upon secret missions at the drop of a hat. Former series regular Judd Lormand guests on the drama and Max Thieriot departed during the sixth season.
The series debuted in 2017 and aired on CBS for four seasons before becoming a Paramount+ exclusive. The first four episodes of season five aired on CBS in 2021 as a special preview. The network is now airing the entire 14 episode season to help fill gaps in the schedule due to a lack of content, stemming from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
“From its four seasons on the CBS Network to its three-season run here at Paramount+, SEAL TEAM has built an incredible legacy that celebrates and honors the brave men and women who serve in the armed forces,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Content & Business Operations, Paramount Streaming. “Our thanks to David Boreanaz and the entire cast and crew for bringing this phenomenal and thought-provoking series to life. We look forward to celebrating their work and giving Team Bravo fans a fantastic final season.”
“When we first heard the pitch for SEAL TEAM almost seven years ago, I was struck by the producers’ genuine passion to tell authentic stories that honored and celebrated the sacrifice of veterans and all those who serve our country,” said David Stapf, President, CBS Studios. “Since that first meeting, they have not wavered in that mission. The characters, storylines and cast performances have continued to be both nuanced and powerful. Thank you to David, Spencer, Chris, Mark and the entire cast and crew for their partnership, creative vision, and dedication. We are looking forward to an exciting and satisfying seventh and final season.”
“It has been a privilege to tell stories over seven seasons that honor the bravery and heroism of all who serve our country,” said executive producers Spencer Hudnut and Christopher Chulack. “We are deeply grateful to our amazing group of actors, writers, directors and talented crew, especially the hundreds of veterans who have worked on this show. We’d like to thank CBS Studios, Paramount + and CBS for their partnership and support over the years, and we offer heartfelt gratitude to the fans who joined Bravo Team week after week and season after season. While we wish we could continue to shine a spotlight on areas where we can do better for our service members even after season seven comes to an end, it is our hope that the collective SEAL TEAM community will stay in the fight when it comes to protecting our protectors.”
“For six seasons I have been fortunate and blessed to be a part of an outstanding cast and crew,” said series star and executive producer David Boreanaz. “Every day spent was a note of thanks to our men and women in the military and Special OPS. I thank our fans, and I’m proud we were able to make this show to shine light in the darkness toward so many suffering today. I look forward to season seven and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.”
What do you think? Have you been watching the SEAL Team TV series? Are you disappointed that there won’t be an eighth season on Paramount+
I can’t believe some smart TV producer or company won’t pick up this great series. With so much junk on TV, it’s always sad to see a great show canceled. The world needs a show like this. Another great show was the Unit. America needs strong portrayals of our military, not a bunch of woke nonsense.
Totally agree!
Seal Team is one of the best shown on TV. This show was the main reason I subscribed to Paramount +. I hope some other network, etc. will pick up the show and continue for many seasons. With so many lousy comedy shows and game shows a great series like this should remain. Please, some other network pick up and continue the show.
I loved Seal Team. Never missed an episode on cbs. But when it switched to paramount that was too difficult to find.
It was terribly wrong what CBS did when they sent SealTeam to a streaming venue. There are a lot of people especially older people who watched but then couldn’t afford streaming. So shame on CBS. THEY ARE POS’S.
Hollywood doesn’t grasp real people and what real people want to watch. No clue that after 20 years of actual war the demographic of America and much of the world is actual vets whom would like to see their people portrayed in a positive way, and show that we need to do more for them when they get home – as SEAL Team was doing. While at the same time still giving us a good action show, with good stories. What a concept, right? “The Unit” suffered the same issues and early death. Hollyweird won’t acknowledge our soldiers for an… Read more »
Extremely disappointed, but not surprised as few series go past 7 seasons (and far fewer, actually) these days. Will definitely miss it.
I thought there were also plans for a movie?
but it’s a shame that it’s coming to an end
Sad to hear show being taken off.. this show has helped me and my family, as I am sure other family’s. These are the kind of shows tv needs . If this show ends so does my Paramount Plus subscription. You should keep this on the air..
It was ruined when after several seasons it was moved to premium channels
It was either that or show would end.
I have never missed an episode of Seal Team. With so many military active and Vets in our family, it gave us insight into what our family members encountered daily while in service to our country. It was a teachable moment….for US! We discussed each episode, and marveled at the realism of the storylines, equipment and the acting. It also tweaked that special patriotic feeling that sometimes almost causes a lump in your throat. And of course, we were always concerned about the “dog”. It was wonderful when the dog got retired that the writers gave him his own happy… Read more »
I knew it would not be the same after Max left for that loser show he is not on. Bravo 6 was so important to the show. My favorite show……I DVR the episodes I can and watch it over and over again.
Moving SEAL TEAM to Paramount Plus was idiotic.
I waited until Season 5 and then Season 6 went onto DVD and then I checked them out from the library.
This is truly my favorite show. I’m very sad to see it end.
I have never missed an episode and I am very upset we are losing the best military drama , maybe ever, and we may never get another near as good. As usual cbs knows how to really hose its viewers, maybe its time to cancel cbs. I wonder if they remember what we all did when they took Jericho from us ????????
I have enjoyed the series but it is definitely time to bring it to a dignified close.
