New York [For Immediate Release – April 8, 2016] Licensed contractor and carpenter Jeff Devlinrestores centuries old homes in DIY Network’s new series, Stone House Revival, premiering Wednesday, May 11, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The 13-episode series follows Jeff – who first gained a following on DIY Network’s I Hate My Bath and appeared in both seasons of Ellen’s Design Challenge – as he and his team of restoration experts work to transform dilapidated properties in Bucks County, Penn. In each episode, Jeff refurbishes the homes into modern living spaces, while preserving the home’s historic integrity.
“I’ve been renovating homes around Bucks County for more than 20 years and most of them are older than the country itself,” said Jeff. “People take the heart out of the home when they strip it down or try to change it into something new. We’re going show how we restore and renovate these places and save some history, too.”
In the premiere episode, Jeff restores a master bedroom and library for a couple who own an amazing stone home that dates back to the 1700s. The two rooms, which sit in the two additions built onto the home – one in 1775 and the other in 1930 – lack some of the historic character from the oldest part of the house. With tools in hand, Jeff and his crew demo the space and then bring in era-specific details to make each room looks like a true part of the original structure.”
What do you think? Do you watch DIY? Would you watch Stone House Revival?
My family lives in Chester County, Pa and we have many friends that live in historic homes. “Stone House Revival”would be much more interesting if the information and techniques portrayed on this show were more respectful of the original architecture of these beautiful, old homes. Accurate history and true preservation can be just as compelling as
quick fixes with trendy touches.
I love the show, hope it comes back year after year, the area is beautiful and the stone homes are gorgeous.
Love show
Really love this show. Hope it stays on the network.
Really love this show and would like to know when the new season begins
Jeff does a great job restoring and sometimes bringing back the historic value of the homes. It amazes me how he updates the renos and then how it flows so naturally with the original home.
I absolutely love the show and hope DIY retains him, especially he is my area❤️
DIY network–Are you bringing Jeff Devlin’s show-Stonehouse Revival back for more episodes.? WE SURE HOPE SO !!!!!!!!!
We like the program but why not donate cabinets and fixtures that would be usable rather than add to the landfill.
My husband & I love this show.
Great show
OMG yes, love this show. Saving history. Thanks for having this show I pray it continues for a very long long time!,
This is the best show on both networks in that Jeff takes time to show his audience his techniques and in a way that draws DIY person in. Please keep this on t.v. Also this is the only show my husband will watch with me.
