What’s This TV Show About?
An CBS action-adventure drama, SWAT stars Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Peter Onorati, David Lim, and Patrick St. Esprit. The crime thriller centers on Sergeant Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson (Moore). A lifetime Los Angeles local and former Marine, Hondo has been tapped to lead a new “last stop” Special Weapons and Tactics unit. Thanks to his background, he is uniquely qualified to lead the team in a manner that also builds a bridge to the community he holds so dear. Hondo’s group includes the seasoned David “Deacon” Kay (Harrington), newcomer Jim Street (Russell), and canine trainer Christina “Chris” Alonso (Esco). They work under the supervision of L.A. Metro Captain Jessica Cortez (Sigman), a dedicated professional who also has a personal connection to Hondo. Meanwhile, Mumford (Onorati) leads a rival unit.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of SWAT averaged a 0.78 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.30 million viewers. Compared to season one, it is down by 17% and 10%, respectively. Find out how SWAT stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will CBS cancel or renew SWAT for season three? The ratings aren’t great but they’ve been pretty consistent. CBS needs newer dramas to help fill their schedule so I think it will be renewed. I absolutely love this show. Both myself and hubby. Please don’t take it off for some reality show or ridiculous comedy. I love.love love this show and the team are a fantastic group. They all make the show, especially Hondo.

The show is an amazing show I would hate to see it to be cancelled needs to renew I like a lot of the topics that they has it is brilliant intense written very well it is an amazing show I hate to see good shows always get cancelled.

I love S.W.A.T. So relieved they renewed it. Love Shemar Moore. The whole cast is great.
Don’t care about the personal relationship they put Chris in. But otherwise I make an effort to never miss an episode.

I enjoy the ACTION a lot more than the drama,
still miss the allyn ferguson moog music from the old show,
but with re boots, new people, new styles.

Bring it back. Tired of Music Shows, game shows & the rest. The good action cop shows are few & far between.
Agree. More substance and less “fluff” shows.
I hope they renew it. I agree that the personal stuff gets it a little muddled, but I love the team and love the action. It keeps my interest and always wants me coming back for more.

I don’t understand why the writers had to start this threesome stuff and ruin a good show. Introduce it like a normal thing. I hope it gets cancelled
I hate the threesome junk too! I hope the writers turn that around because the rest of the show is great!
The answer is simple : the actress.
She wanted to “show her cause”.
And it’s always the same, in all of the series where you can see those type of things, it’s basically because of the actor.
I totally agree with you Beverly. The message the writers and producers are sending to our youth as well as all that witch the program is wrong. Hope they can turn this around as I have stopped watching an otherwise great program.
Used to like this show until it began getting personal. No need to know about the team’s private issues or agendas
I personally don’t care for the way that they’re portraying polyamory. It’s very slanted and leaves it like it’s a sad footnote commentary on the lifestyle. Unless they’re dribbling it out slowly for mass consumption… but that’s just a wild guess. I hope they show that Chris could also love Street and that her other partners are ok with it because it would also be a part of the poly lifestyle. That may be too risky for the show though.
