TV show description:
The daughter of Samantha and Darrin Stephens, Tabitha (Lisa Hartman) is all grown up and has taken a job working at the KXLA television station in Los Angeles.
She’s a production assistant for The Paul Thurston Show, working under cranky producer Marvin Decker (Mel Stewart). Despite his egotistical nature, Tabitha develops a romantic relationship with the show’s host, Paul Thurston (Robert Urich). Her younger brother Adam (David Ankrum) also works at the station and, like their father, encourages Tabitha to live a life without witchcraft. Their meddling Aunt Minerva (Karen Morrow) couldn’t feel more differently and adds to Tabitha’s troubles.
The series is a spin-off of the Bewitched sitcom.
Total disappointment. Adam was younger than Tabitha by at least 4 years, not older. Also Adam was shown to be a warlock in the original “Bewitched”, he was not a mortal. Very bad writing. Show needed more original characters from “Bewitched” to make appearances on the show. The show should have shown the main characters Tabitha and Adam having fun getting in and out of trouble as they both enjoyed using their powers for good, and a little funny mischief! Perhaps one day they can try again.
Adam should have remained her younger warlock brother, not an older mortal one. That would have changed the dynamic and made the show better.
The show would have been better if they made Adam a warlock which he was in the original “Bewitched”. They never had an Aunt Minerva. They should have had more original members of the “Bewitched” series in it. It had potential but bad casting and writing. I could have done better.
