The 100 prequel series is not moving forward. Viewers saw the potential series as a backdoor pilot during The 100’s seventh and final season. Had the prequel been made as a series, viewers would have seen the events from 97 years before the events shown in the series after the planet was devastated by nuclear war.
CW CEO Mark Pedowitz said that the project was still alive as recently as May 2021. He said the following during a press call at that time, per Deadline:
“There are still discussions going on — it is not done in any way, shape or form. The discussions are still happening.”
Iola Evans, Adain Bradley, and Leo Howard were set to appear on the series, but their options expired 18 months ago. The 100 ended in September 2020. It is possible that Warner Bros could shop the project elsewhere, but for now, the series is dead.

The 100 is an awesome TV series! You can have a few different run offs from the whole show! Don’t cancel any prequel/spin off of 100! It was great to watch and to wonder!

If JRott hadn’t screwed up season seven so horribly, then yes, bring it back. There are hundreds of thousands of fans around the world who feel the same. We DO want to know more, but not with him as a director. Check out Twitter and FB, very enlightening. Nah, we’ll just use our imaginations to fill in the blanks. Shame, as it’s still one of the most watched series around the globe. Way to go JRott.

I fell in LOVE w the 100!! It was one of the best series I’ve watched in a long time. I prayed for a sequel or prequel or ANYTHING!! PLEASE try to bring this show and most of the beloved characters back to the CW!!! I have waited over a year and now I hear it’s prob not returning and that sucks. I can’t b the only person who loved this show…Let us viewers know how we can help get this series back!

THE 100 is one of the best tv shows ever made and there was and still is just one of a double hand full of shows worth the long run because the big companies find an AWESOME show and slowly gest rid of the good ones when snows like THE FLASH or SUPERGIRL should never have been aired ???? I was so disappointed by how *The 100* ended that I don’t mind the prequel being abandoned.
I personally would love to see a sequel of the show. The world has definitely changed and sometimes I need to escape from reality I am in. The 100 is the show I would love to see.
The 100 was an amazing TV show rather than make a sequel why not start where it last left off ? Or make it all a dream in Clark’s head and start fresh almost like a bad dream and make an entirely new show with the same characters ? I firmly believe the show should go on and if you can’t make it go on start a new series don’t build a prequel on the show as it would only ruin it almost like a part 2 of a movie like venom
