What’s This TV Show About?
A sci-fi drama series airing on the Syfy cable channel, The Ark TV show stars Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Reece Ritchie, Stacey Read, and Ryan Adams. The story takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have become necessary to secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event that causes massive destruction and loss of life. The survivors have more than a year left in their journey to their target planet. In season two, after the brave crew of Ark One reaches their destination and finds it uninhabitable, they must survive long enough to locate a new home for themselves and all the ships that follow. Characters include Lt. Sharon Garnet (Burke), Lt. Spencer Lane (Ritchie), Lt. James Brice (Fleeshman), Alicia Nevins (Read), and Angus Medford (Adams).
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Ark averages a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 249,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 47% in the demo and down by 37% in viewership in the live+same day ratings (includes DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled. Will Syfy cancel or renew The Ark for season three? The ratings for this show have been good in the past, and I think series co-creator Dean Devlin knows how to make the most of a limited budget. That said, Syfy seems to be pulling back from producing its own scripted series, and the ratings for season two are not impressive. This one could go either way. If syfy cancel I’d be so upset, I’ve really fallen for all the characters
This has got to be renewed. As a Space Sci-Fi fan, it’s one of the more enjoyable series I’ve watched in a while. Yes there are some cringe-worthy moments, but the character development has been very good. I like the human element and the character interactions, and how budding love has grown. Renew Renew Renew!
Yes, we need a season 3, 4 and more, Don’t cancel this little Gem.
I quite enjoy the Ark and hope it is renewed for a couple more seasons. These days seasons are less than half why they used to be, STNG and co had 26 episode seasons but shows like Mandalorian get 8 and the Ark gets 12 while The Orville liked to mix it up with different length seasons.
Keep going with the Ark (love Stacey Read) and fgs bring back The Orville and Mandalorian for season 4 and 5.
Love this series! Been a fan of SyFy since it was SciFi, and this show delivers. Love the characters, the cast chemistry, and clean arcs. All in all, a great science fiction series. Please keep it going. Hard to find!

I like the show,the ARC,and I think that writers & producers left us with a Clifhanger. I give it (8) stars. I’m (74 yrs. Old),I’ve always been a sci-fi nut,but the financers are in no hurry,and I’d like to see this thru before I die. HURRY.
Low budget, but entertaining. Would be a real shame to cancel it.
The series should be renewed. It’s hard to find great syfy shows that have a great plot and make you wish you didn’t have to wait a week for the next episode. I’ll be more than upset if you cancel it!
Finally, a new, unique Sci-Fi TV series, thank you very much! I truly hope they bring “The Ark” back for season3, and soon, please!

love the ARK it needs to continue
It’s a little bit hokey, and the production comes off as kind of cheap, but the characters & storylines are excellent. The strong acting, on-screen chemistry & good writing make it easy to ignore the low-budget production value. I really hope to see it renewed for a season 3.

I love this Sci-Fi show. the Ark does need a season 3 and at least a season 4.
