What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Big Leap TV show stars Scott Foley, Teri Polo, Piper Perabo, Simone Recasner, Ser’Darius Blain, Jon Rudnitsky, Raymond Cham Jr., Mallory Jansen, Kevin Daniels, and Anna Grace Barlow. Described as “big-hearted and rowdy,” this scripted series follows a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck people who attempt to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of Swan Lake. What this group of underdogs lacks in dance training, they make up for with their edge, wit, and desire to reimagine an iconic story to fit their own mold.
Season One Ratings
The first season of The Big Leap averaged a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.27 million viewers in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. Other economic factors can be involved in a show’s fate, but typically, the higher-rated series are renewed, and the lower-rated ones are cancelled. LOVE this show but just read on another site that it was canceled so no season 2. I hope this isn’t true. This show was a great mix of comedy and drama. Campy yet interesting. It seems like networks just don’t give shows a chance these days. I really hope this show sticks around and really isn’t canceled.

I love this show so much! It quickly became my favorite show of the season. I feel like the commercials they put out for this show really didn’t capture the feeling of what the show is really like. Fox is always so bad about canceling really great shows, but I’m hoping in this case they will have the good sense to give it a second season. It deserves it.

I really enjoyed this show. To be honest, it was promoted heavily by the network, but promoted badly. Judging from the promos, it looked like a show like “Fame”, which I had no interest in seeing. I accidentally stumbled on it one night and saw the incredible humor and interplay among the actors and found it wonderful. I really hope Fox changes its mind on renewing this series.

DO NOT CANCEL this show. We need another Season or at least a finale. This was one of the the most brilliant shows. At least give us all an ending that we can live with. You need to give us a show!!!
