Airing on the FOX television network, The Cool Kids stars David Alan Grier, Martin Mull, Vicki Lawrence, and Leslie Jordan. The TV show revolves around a loyal but motley crew who live at a retirement community and will break any rule to have fun. Though they may be older, this quartet is far from done with life. The self-proclaimed “cool kids” are determined to make the third act of their lives the craziest and most interesting one yet.
The first season of The Cool Kids on FOX is averaging a 0.85 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.27 million viewers.
Compared to the other FOX TV shows of the 2018-19 season, the sitcom is a middle-of-the-road performer. The series started out really strong but the ratings lost steam as the season progressed.

I really enjoyed the laughter my husband and I experience during season 1 . And we would like for THE SITCOM TO RETURN PLEASE very very SOON !!!!!!!
My wife and I really enjoyed cool kids when it first came out. As the season progressed we felt like the whole gay character was being pushed to hard. This character was our favorite on the show (truly hilarious) we don’t mind gay but don’t want it ran down our throats ether. In the beginning it seemed more natural but in the end it felt pushed to hard. Bring it back and but deal down the gay dialogue and not make it the focus of the whole episode and you may bring back the viewers

I think fox made a big mistake canceling the cool kids it was the funniest new sicom maybe a smart net work will pick it up its a great show
typical. get a really good comedy and they cancel it. watched this show avidly as there are not many like it. seems that the age group for this show is not catered for and is cancelled because the younger viewers don’t watch it. shame on them

I looked forward to Friday night to watch Cool Kids. Several of my friends and relatives also enjoyed this show. Loved the characters and their relationship with each other. Made me laugh ! I was shocked network cancelled. Need to bring back. Absolutely nothing entertaining during this Friday evening slot. What is wrong with network? Think they are out of touch with what is wanted on tv!
THE COOL KIDS was such a feel good comedy sitcom that I looked forward to watching on Friday night’s. Each cast member was brilliantly matched with their character. The characters along with the writing crew really managed to give you that warm fun comfortable feeling that is rare these days in a comedy sitcom. It’s so rare to get that feeling through a TV screen and yet the cast and crew managed to do just that. Wow what a blower! I’m a big fan of The Cool Kids. I thought the writers and the actors are great. Hopefully another network will pick up the show.
