A procedural drama from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who executive produce with showrunner Tim Minear, the 9-1-1 TV show centers on the police officers, firefighters, and paramedics who risk their lives to save others. No matter how frightening, dangerous, and shocking a situation may be, these first responders rush toward crises from which others flee.
The scripted drama is inspired by the real-life, high-pressure situations that emergency response providers encounter on the job. In addition to saving people at risk, they’re also just trying to live their own lives and handle their own problems.

What do you think? Do you like the 9-1-1 TV series? Should this TV show be cancelled or renewed for another season on FOX?
Too bad that this show has jumped the shark, because I liked a lot of the characters and had watched from the beginning.
After watching episode 7, I think, we have decided that the writers have lost it. When that guy who had stomach pains turned over in the ambulance and the medics pulled a two foot tape worm from his butt we turned off this show for good.
I love watching 911. Good drama wit a bit of dark comedy. Good blend of characters.
YOU HAVE TO KEEP THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT’S THE ABSOLUTE BEST. DO NOT CANCEL. I WILL NOT BE HAPPY IF YOU DO.
I’m liking this show but seriously ticked off because (at least here in Canada) they’re airing the episodes all out of order. Not 1 episode has been in its proper sequence and I’ve currently seen 6 episodes. Its like they are picking a number out of a hat, not just an episode or two out of order but all of them mixed up
I enjoy this show. The different stories are good and cast is great
I really like this show. It’s a combination of the 3 major parts of a 1st responder plus the 4th that people DNT want to accept. You as a victim or the one committing a crime. I can relate to all the spectrums of this showing. Being of a 1st responders family. At last a show that can appreciate these heros, with all their flaws & glories. Good work to the writers keep it up. Don’t jst wnt 1 season, has a potential of many more to come looking forward to them can’t wait.
I love this show. I love how strong Angela is specially with her family. I love the young firefighter dating the older lady. I love the action and dream. The extras acting is bad, I don’t know what to call them.
Unbelievable that this show is still running. It should have been cancelled after the second episode but it’s already been renewed for a second season. There are a couple of good actors but the script is absolute garbage. I can’t believe that it has ratings as high as it does.
cmac…..
There are dozens of other shows to watch. If you don’t like this one, move on to one you enjoy. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it needs to be taken off the air. There are thousands of people who do enjoy, and hopes it will continue for many more seasons.
This show is so fake and Hollywood. Pretty much 98% of the stuff they show is unrealistic. A newborn baby stuffed down a toilet pipe. They miraculously cut the pipe where it is at and use gel from an AED kit to lubricate the kid out. Ummm, pretty much everyone stopped using that stuff decades ago and is not in AED kits. The cop never wears a vest and you only ever see another cop twice. No one comes around that quickly and talks after almost drowning and needing CPR. I would have thought the creators of this show would… Read more »
Did you say you was an Emt, firefighter, and a police office at different points of time in life?
Poor writing. Poor acting. Changed the channel as soon as the “counseling” session became a sex romp. How creative …. NOT!
I like the show. I, a previous fan of Trauma, Emergency, Rescue 8 & others, thought it had a real-life quality. I like Krause, Stark & Dunbar. Bassett’s char is played heavy-handedly, but there are people like that. The rescue events are well done and that helps a lot. A good series that’ll get better.
I find it difficult to believe this is how our firemen and women behave while trying to save lives. Especially if this is to serve as a Procedural Series.
We won’t watch this show again. Connie Briton’s constant look of pain is annoying. Angela Bassett was way too bossy and overbearing to be believable as a street cop. The only character we liked was the little girl from Young and the Restless. She acted circles around the others. Unfortunately, her character is not recurring. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best, this show merits a 2.
My husband and I agreed that it is unlikely that we would watch this show again. We particularly disliked the Angela Bassett part, finding her character short-sighted, heavy handed and annoying. Sorry.
