What do you think? Do you like the BattleBots TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
I’ve always loved Battlebots. I haven’t been able to watch these seasons, since I can’t get that channel here. I encourage the producers to just sell direct via streaming subscriptions! I actually switched from Netflix after more than 10 years to Hulu to watch it when it was briefly on ABC.
I watch battlebots. Love the show. Best show on .hate that you cancelled it. Family loves it. Do you know what you’re doing?
PLEASE have a 3rd season, and more of Battlebots on Science Channel! My daughter and I love it, and never miss an episode!
In the interest of having more competition and more episodes, I suggest having more than one weight class, like boxing. For example, there could be a 125 pound class and a 250 pound class.
I don’t know. Some of those little machines tore up way bigger machines. But I agree. It would be great to have more episodes. Maybe they could do it like American Ninja Warrior and show the tryouts in various cities to compete in the final tournament.
The original series (Comedy Central) did have multiple weight classes, but as another poster said, it was interesting to see the tiny ones effective against the larger ones.
Another difference from the original series was that the CC version did not allow “multi-bots” or flame throwers. (Those were on “Robot Wars,” a competed series.
I think the biggest improvement that could be made would be the use of a double-elimination bracket format.
BRING IT BACK. challenge DARPA
I agree. BattleBots should have more episodes per season. Just when I really started getting into it, it was over.
Six episodes per year is not enough! We need more fights – double-elimination, multiple classes, etc. – like Comedy Central had it years ago. The series was done well, but it was WAY too short. With more fights in each weight class, you got to know the bots and started to have favorites – allegiances that lasted far longer than a week.
BTW, I subscribed to Hulu+ just to watch this show. Now that it’s over, I’ll cancel Hulu+ – until next year. 🙂
This series was completely entertaining.
I like it I’m 12 ad I was only two or somthing when it left but I like it a lot but maybe they have more bots next year
The show is better than ever! Best thing on tv in a long time.
I loved the BattleBots show right from the beginning back around 2004 or so. I have been waiting patiently for the rights of the show to be settled. Now that they are back, KEEP THE SHOW!
I enjoy the show. There’s lots of whiz-bang action and crunching metal. It’s a refined, high tech version of an old cars demolition derby at the county fair. And unlike some professional sports, like football and boxing, no one gets hurt. Furthermore, this competition promotes innovation in robotics.
Very strong opening episode. It’s not quite there yet, but it’s close. Good balance on action, back story and engineering and tactics. And then there is the action….. Milled chromoly parts being ripped out as it they were made from cardboard, exploding mini-bots that litter the entire area with chunks of everything in a fireball explosion.. 250pound monsters being tosses hither and thither like ragdolls. The sparks fly everywhere and some impacts are so violent that the friction of the impact make the cut glow afterwards.. A bit more focus on technology and we have the show that we wanted… Read more »
