Before the HBO series premiered in 2017, the cast and crew of the Big Little Lies TV show said there was no second season in the offing. Since it was based on the Liane Moriarty novel of the same name, we took them at their word. Now here we are again, tracking the Nielsen ratings for season two. Will Big Little Lies be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
An HBO mystery drama Big Little Lies stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz, Meryl Streep, Adam Scott, James Tupper, and Jeffrey Nordling. Season two centers on the Monterey Five — Madeline (Witherspoon), Celeste (Kidman), Jane (Woodley), Renata (Dern), and Bonnie (Kravitz), along with Celeste’s visiting mother-in-law, Mary Louise (Streep), as well as their husbands, Ed (Scott), Nathan (Tupper) and Gordon (Nordling). As this installment explores the toxicity of lies, bonds will weaken and no one is safe from the fallout.
