Get ready to join the hunt for bigfoot! Expedition Bigfoot is coming to the Travel Channel, and the new series is planning to provide new evidence to its viewers. The series premieres on December 4.
Travel Channel revealed more about the new series in a press release. Check that out below.
“Every year hundreds of eyewitnesses log their alleged encounters with the legendary creature Bigfoot. All told, there have been more than 10,000 reported modern-day sightings of Bigfoot in the continental United States, with more than one-third of them emanating from the Pacific Northwest. And while many have searched for the elusive beast, no one knows where or when this legendary cryptid will be seen next, nor have they put forth credible, indisputable evidence of the creature’s existence. Until now…
Old legend meets new modern-day technology as an elite team of skilled searchers are using an advanced data algorithm and groundbreaking science and tools to analyze five decades of Bigfoot sightings and to pinpoint when and where to encounter this elusive beast. With these results and gadgetry at their disposal, they now know the time and place to search for evidence of Bigfoot. Travel Channel’s new eight-part investigative-adventure series Expedition Bigfoot, premiering Wednesday, December 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, tracks the expert team throughout their harrowing experience and pioneering endeavor.
With a unique blend of expertise, the team – including Bryce Johnson (Expedition Operations); Dr. Mireya Mayor (Primatologist); Russell Acord (Ex-Military/Survivalist); Ronny LeBlanc (Bigfoot Researcher); and Ryan “RPG” Golembeske (Bigfoot Investigator) – may finally take one of the world’s greatest mysteries out of the pages of legend and lore and into reality. Throughout their three-week sojourn to an undisclosed, remote location in a 90,000-acre swath of land in central Oregon, they use the latest advanced technologies to narrow their search within the target zone. As the investigation intensifies, evidence that Bigfoot is in the area begins to pile up. Possible nesting sites, footprints and vocalizations lead the team to a hot spot where inexplicable events occur and one of the greatest pieces of video evidence in Bigfoot history is recorded.
“Travel Channel has assembled the very best team of experts in Bigfoot lore and science to give us proof of the creature’s existence once and for all,” said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. “The journey is formidable, and the jeopardy is real. Skeptics and believers alike will both agree the trek this team makes is something they have never seen before.”

Really hope their is more to come, so exciting, loved it!!
Expedition Bigfoots scientific approach with experts lends itself to being an intriguing show. Can’t wait for a new season. Not not just another Bigfoot soap drama. What a refreshing change.
Expedition Bigfoot was the most AMAZING series thus far of Bigfoot!!!! Sightings. Evidence etc… was awesome! Please please please do not cancel this series as you have the others??? My family and many friends truly believe this animal exists and without the continuing searching we will never find true evidence!!!
Ok watched Expedition Bigfoot. Finally a decent show regarding the topic of Bigfoot. My question is if it will return or not. At least let us know if and when to expect something new
You found two cave entrances, did anyone think to put up cameras with 24/7 viewing.
No because the caves couldn’t be entered and given that it’s public land, I’m sure they would need permission. Even the surveillance camera that Russell put up had to be taken down. But, wouldn’t it be great if they could have/would have,
I loved the program and hope they have a season 2.. There is someone on youtube that found what looks/ or could be a bigfoot that they missed on the last episode. But I think the guy is taking it off after the premiere, it’s awesome.
It is a great show other than producing a body they gathered a ton of evidence!!
Does anyone actually think that following researchers around with a full camera crew, filming (staging) scenes from multiple angles, loud talking, bright camera lights and flashlights, and lanterns, is going to get you close to anything wild?
Why not? National Geographic does it all the time. People who hold cameras for a living do know how to hold their tongues as well. Might have been good to watch and see what and how they did this.
I wish people who are not scientist to save their negative comments. They are doing what is required by the scientific community to validate a new species. They are amassing the necessary evidence to say if it is true or not. If true, further studies will be done to validate the results.
I really enjoy this show. I wish it had more than 8 episodes. Love the use actual science versus the other bigfoot shows. Keep it on!
I agree it is better than finding bigfoot need more
What a fake ass show!
No grizzlies in Oregon!
Been in Montana 30 yrs.
What a joke!!
They corrected it in a later episode. Besides that was just Bryce who said that, he came up with the algorithm, he’s not one of the field researchers,
Baaahhhh …believe .
They Say They have new evidence but it will all be fake or show nothing as usual.
If this one is like all the others, there will be no real evidence. It will be a lot of loud talking, running, screaming, dodging rocks or tree trunks supposedly thrown by a BF. When will anyone take a dart gun and sedate one so it can be seen, touched, blood taken, etc? NEVER because no one has the guts to do that. If they were to see a real one, they would run away screaming “A BF saw me, and no one believed him.”
and what I really hate is the background noise (music, drama inducing)….you can’t hear what they are saying most times.
Jeanne. I totally agree with you. I have stopped watching a number of shows for this reason. I also annoyed with their loud whispering. They should be quiet if they ever want to really see something.
Agree with you there Jeanna, the overlaid background noise is extremely horrible. When one of the group says something about the area being eerily silent, but all the watcher hears is the freaking added sounds. Or, worst, you can actually hear the crickets then the sound fades, including the person speaking, because it seems like the sound level has been turned down. This one is just freaking horrible, not as bad the ones where a camera is pointed at the team member’s face instead of what the team member is looking at, but this one is still just bad.
