What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Flaked stars Will Arnett, David Sullivan, George Basil, Ruth Kearney, Robert Wisdom, Lina Esco, Dennis Gubbins, Travis Mills, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The dramedy centers on Chip (Arnett), a popular denizen of Venice, California. Despite his great reputation as a local sobriety “guru,” Chip has been drinking on the sly and hiding it from his friends and associates. He’s also in danger of losing his business and has fallen for his best friend’s crush. Can he climb back on the wagon and get himself together, or will he remain entangled his own web of lies?

Telly’s Take
I’ll admit it. I’m nursing a bit of a grudge, where Flaked is concerned. Since the first season generated neither buzz nor critical acclaim, I was all set to swoop off to Venice, for a seaside supper. Yet, in the end, that pesky season two renewal deprived me of basic sustenance. Unless Netflix decided to promote a show’s viewership, there are no Flaked “ratings” for me to assess. However, I have a great view of entertainment news from high upon my perch, so I’ll keep an eye out for any Flaked cancellation or renewal items. I’ll update this page, as soon as Netflix announces its next move. Subscribe for free updates.

I absolutely loved this show. I have to admit I binged the first season and second together so I benefited from the quick transition from character development in season one to depth of story lines in season two. There is so many little things I love about this series from the episode titles in season one vs two to the subtle but poignant change in Will Arnett’s apperence from season one to two. From the directing to the writing to the acting and producing both seasons are totally worth watching. I really hope for a third season.
You do realize his change in appearance is because he actually relapsed right? The show is literally killing him. Nothing is worth that.

Loved this, saddened season 2 was only 6 episodes. Brilliant actors and sad it has ended, good music going on too.
I like Flaked. Didn’t quite know what to make of it when first started watching the first season, but it grows on you. It’s nice to watch a show that’s not taking itself too seriously. Not super heros. No super detectives. Nothing supernatural. No zombies. Etc. Just some people try to sort out their messes and the humor and tragedy that’s life. It’s a nice change of tone from other Netflix shows and is well written with some interesting if not always sympathetic characters. Really hope Netflix does renew it for Season 3 but if the writers want to leave… Read more »
My husband and LOVE LOVE LOVE Flaked! If it gets cancelled, I will be seriously disappointed. wil Arnet had a gen on his hands. The characters are uniquely designed and I love how the program keeps them in constant connection yet somehow shows a funnier side to a dreadful disease. Anyone who has experience with alcoholism and alcoholics deserves to have a release from this crappy reality …KEEP KEEP KEEP!

challenges.
As a man I can tell you this is not the men’s perspective, it is a man-child.
This is a man’s perspective in this day and age! Most men I know lately in their 40’s and 50’s are going through what “Chip” is going through. It is so prevalent today. You may live in an area that does not have men like this, riding bikes because they lost their license … moving from sugar mama to sugar mama or wherever they can get a place to stay… I have seen it a lot, sadly.
Wow. I hope Flaked gets a renewal. Part of the problem is I never recieved any press or advertisements of the show. I think it’s an awesome slice of life , realistic and mature story with great characters. I noticed season 2 had even less episodes then season 1. I would be disappointed if there is not a season 3. I think it should receive more promotion on Netflix. One last thing.. the musical score is just awesome.
Honestly i’m totally disappointed about this show, pointless and boring. Low acting and too slow scenes. I hope Netflix will invest in another original series, this one really doesn’t worth a third season at all. If they renew the anonymous Flaked after cancelling Sense8 it would be ridicoulous.
To each his own, love this show, it grows on you. I hope it returns for many more seasons…

I hope there is a season 3 of Flaked. I enjoy the show a lot. Very funny but also shows the characters messed up side too
I watched all episodes of Flake, and hope it renews for another season. Of course on Netflix there is so much to watch, that I will be fine with whether it comes back or not, but enjoyed watching it. I have watch many hundred of hours of Netflix Programing and enjoyed most of it. I am a cable cutter, so don’t have as much flexibility as people who still have cable, but enjoy it this way and watch local TV mostly for newscast with an indoor antenna.
