Last week, ABC revised their primetime schedule and the final two episodes of Happy Town were bumped. The move didn’t come as a big surprise since the ratings have continued to drop lower and lower.
It was speculated that the episodes might air on a Saturday night in July, following in the footsteps of fellow cancelled shows the forgotten (July 3rd) and Eastwick (July 10th).
Now, the unofficial word is that the last two episodes of Happy Town won’t even be shown on TV. Instead, they’ll be burned off on ABC’s website. The show’s official network representative couldn’t offer us any details but confirmed that ABC doesn’t have plans to air the final episodes in the foreseeable future.
The writers and producers of Happy Town have been told that they’ll be released online but haven’t been able to find out when that will happen either. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
UPDATE: The last episodes have been posted. You can watch “Dallas Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore” and “Blame it on Rio Bravo” here.
What do you think? Does it upset you that the last two episodes will be released on the Internet? Does it matter?

I keep telling myself not to watch anymore shows on abc!
I love watching Happy town!
I hope abc sinks in ratings. I will never watch abc again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You got to be kidding me, you left the audience hanging in that bar scene. YOU CAN,T do that. We the T>V> audience deserve better. If you want a loyal audience, you better think this through. Otherwise, i can get all the shows i want in one sitting from NETFLIX. Bring this show back, like Jerico, there is an audience for good suspenceful serious like this, and good acting as well
I can’t believe they have pulled Happy Town again. I really love this show. I don’t know who ABC is listening to, but all my friends loved the show. I am very unhappy about this decision. I won’t watch another series on ABC again. I don’t think any show could have competed against Dancing With the Stars and American Idol.
This is awful – I cannot even see the last two episodes because I am in Canada and seemingly I am not allowed to view them. This was the first exciting series that I have seen in over 10 years!
THAT’S IT?!?!?!? I just watched the last episodes ABC has on their website. Are those the last two? It’s going to end like THAT?!?!?!?
I just watched the last couple episodes online. Wow so good! Abc stinks! I’m done with ABC and never watching a show on this channel ever again. I just don’t feel like it’s worth it to invest my time in a show if ABC is going to pull the plug. I mean they cancelled this great show after 2 episodes? Really? They should’ve given this show a fair chance and at least gave it a shot in the Fall not just the beginning of summer. Good move ABC!
you should all go to ABC website and write them a comment on how you feel about them pulling “Happytown”..I left them 2 comments already…maybe if you all do the same they will get the message not to pull it.
I’m mad. I loved the show and now I have to figure out when I can see the last 2 shows. Everytime I get interested in a show, it gets pulled. It’s not about the audience anymore…it’s all about the stations. I should just give up on TV altogether. At least this makes it easier for me to decide if I need to get rid of a bill, tv is the first to go.
abc sucks they have done it again at least have the courtesy to air the final chapters you know where abc can do i make myself clear on where that is
BUMMER!!! Finally a show both Tom & I REALLY enjoyed!!! We never missed an episode! Well, until now……since you decided not to complete the series.
What ever ABC. Maybe you can join the ranks of NBC and have numerous variations of the same show……day after day.
Heavy sigh.

It sucks that they just leave you hangin’. At least give us the plot’s ending. Looks like ABC has done it agaun!!
I hope ABC decides to finish the story. It may be a bit of a B-grade show but I think there are a lot of people who want to see the end.
Please ABC give us the rest of the story.
Lola
I’m just glad we can see the last two episodes online. I’m not ABC and don’t care to make the decisions they have to make. I’m sure they have their data and ratings to consider, but it is disappointing to get into a show and find it is canceled. You get to know the characters and look forward to watching it. Now at least we get to view the last two online. Thanks ABC!
Just like all the other shows, ABC, once again, will leave the viewer hanging. I will not watch any more new shows on ABC because they will never show the end.
Well what a waste that is, ABC doesnt even have the courtesy of giving us an ending? Certain things get revealed but its clear this was definitely meant to have more episodes, I’m glad I cancelled cable and watch most of my stuff on Hulu or Netflix, paying to have studios like ABC constantly cut off shows, cancel shows and throw them around like they dont matter is a joke…..all in all dont expect any kind of an ending to the show, great show but ABC sucks anymore
