The Tuesdays at 10PM timeslot has traditionally been a difficult one for ABC to fill. Most of the shows that the alphabet network has tried in that position have been cancelled after short runs. How will this one perform? Will High Potential be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A crime procedural drama series, the High Potential TV series was created by Drew Goddard. It stars Kaitlin Olson, Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb, and Judy Reyes. The story revolves around a single mom named Morgan (Olson) who has three kids and works nights as a cleaning woman at the police station. Morgan also has an exceptional mind and is recruited to the LAPD Major Crimes unit. There, her unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book and seasoned detective (Sunjata).
Nielsen Ratings
The Nielsen ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances of survival. This chart is updated as new ratings data becomes available.
11/13 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national ratings, including all live+same day viewing and DVR playback (through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled.

I love this show, please, please renew this.
Love High Potential. Please renew series. One of the new shows i can really watch
This show is great! The cast is wonderful! Karadec and Morgan have such great chemistry and compliment each others characters! I also think the writing is so creative!
The lead character wants to be taken seriously, but continues to dress like a two-dollar street walker.
I was going to say the same, but it is a good show
We really enjoy this show. Will definitely continue watching.
As astute as Holmes and as stimulatingly irritating as Columbo yet fully female. Tremendous potential. This show has my vote. Renew!
Like it ,storyline good so far.
A fun time on Tuesday night.
Yes renew.
Kaitlin Olson was on Hacks Jean smart streaming HBO Max so funny playing her daughter so funny love it so good remains of Psych and The Mentalist cop drama.
Copy of Elsbeth, which is a copy of Will Trent. I don’t care—I’ll watch all three! Kaitlin may be 48 but is still cute.
This seems to be a ripoff of another show from 2021 Called HPI – High Potential Intellect, which says this as a blurb…
————————–
Morgane is 38 years old, has three children, two exes and an IQ of 160; her destiny as a cleaner is turned upside-down when her extraordinary abilities are spotted by the police who offer her a job as a consultant.

Seems pretty much the same. That series is still ongoing.
Very good show, well acted and kept me intrigued. Renew please.
An “Elsbeth” knock-off wherein another police department is incapable of solving crime unless it’s aided by another genius, but quirky superwoman. Oh hum.
The writers aren’t nearly as funny as they think they are, with some of the bits more annoying than humorous — the dropping the kids off at school with lights and sirens, for example.
Still, I’ll give this another chance to entertain me more than annoy me.
I thought the same thing, the difference is that this one is a “sexy” mom. I don’t know if it was on purpose.
At 68 I have seen this type of show format many times. It only works if the lead character is interesting and fun to watch. Katlin Olson is both. Pulling for this show to succeed.
Really held my attention. Well acted and written. Will definitely be watching more.
In honesty, is an “Elsbeth” knockoff
I don’t watch Elsbeth. I don’t care about Elsbeth. EVERY police, hospital or firehouse show is pretty much the same as what came before it. But THIS is the show I’m enjoying.
Notice more guys don’t care for it… Girl show I guess I like it.
