Both NBC’s Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU have already been renewed for 2024-25, but the fate of Law & Order: Organized Crime remains up in the air. Per Deadline, the series might find new life on Peacock if not renewed by NBC.
Starring Christopher Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt, Ainsley Seiger, and Rick Gonzalez, the Law & Order: Organized Crime series follows Detective Elliot Stabler and his team at NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau as they work to dismantle the city’s most vicious and violent illegal enterprises.
Airing on Thursday nights, the fourth season of Law & Order: Organized Crime averages a 0.36 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.45 million viewers in the live+same day ratings (including DVR playback through 3:00 AM). Compared to season three, that’s down by 19% in the demo and up by 0.23% in viewership. It’s the lowest-rated show of the franchise’s three shows but also airs in the latest timeslot.
The following was said about the possibility of a fifth season renewal:
It’s always been an outlier, a departure from the Dick Wolf procedural brand with its darker and serialized storytelling. Possibly as a result, the series starring Christopher Meloni has performed below the five other Wolf dramas on the linear NBC network, while it has reportedly done well on Peacock.
That last part may prove key to Organized Crime‘s future, which has fans so worried they are launching petitions to help get the show renewed. I hear that if NBC opts not to proceed with Season 5 of Organized Crime, the series could migrate to Peacock, giving the NBCUniversal streamer an original Wolf drama series to go with the Wolf library and next-day runs of the Wolf Entertainment NBC series that are among the platform’s most viewed titles.

I think this the reason why they fired Kelly Giddish. I think they are keeping the door open for a Stabler return if he becomes available. I am torn. I love Stabler on IC but he was too violent on SVU. So if we get that Stabler then yeah. But I have to say I love Kelly Giddish and would take her character over anyone including Stabler

The Best TV are the serialized stories, with a story line that continues, building the tension, drama, character interaction. As a regular viewer to a Good Series, I don’t miss an episode, anticipating how the story will turn. That is why Law and Order Organized Crime is the Best Law and Order franchise !! I will be very disappointed if it leaves broadcast !! The one off stories of Law and Order , and SVU tend to muddle into the same show every week, so the excitement to see it starts to wane. I love watching Organized Crimes especially now that it has story lines, but happened to Olivia and Elliott’s romance?
I love the show. It is intelligent, suspenseful and the ensemble cast is terrific. I ask NBC to renew the show period. We need more adult, intelligent shows on TV, not less.
I love the show. I would love for it to continue. I watch it on peacock, so I’m ok with them picking it up. Just don’t stop the show. I am a L & O fan of everyone of them. I love Stablers character.

Organized crime is by far my FAVORITE of the law and order series! Stabler makes the show and always keeps me on the edge of my seat for each episode. I love the fact that each show is not necessarily a standalone episode and that they connect. I would be extremely disappointed if they canceled this series!!!
I love all the L&O shows, please do not cancel L&O Organized Crime. When I seen Stabler was back I was so excited.

The issue with this show is that the storyline has to be compelling enough for the viewer to get involved. When characters exist into two seasons it is hard to remember whose who &/0r what they did. Plus letting Stabler do so much dangerous undercover work at his age is becoming more unlikely, making me anyway, roll my eyes & think “right!” And this season’s story is rather tedious & adding his brothers to the mix has only shown how damaged that whole family is from their very beginnings. I would say if the show must be canceled, see if Meloni will go back to SVU. SVU is in bad need of stronger characters this season. It has been the Benson show all season long.
I love the other 2 Law and Order series but I’m not a fan of Organized Crime, it’s just ok.
