MacGyver is getting closer to its final episode. The series, a reboot of the popular 1980s series of the same name, was cancelled by CBS earlier this month, and the series finale will air on April 30th. The network has now released details and photos for the farewell episode. The episode titled “Abduction + Memory + Time + Fireworks + Dispersal” will find Mac (Lucas Till) and Riley (Tristan Mays) in a tough situation.
CBS revealed the following about the series finale of MacGyver:
“When Mac and Riley go missing and wake up 24 hours later in a corn field with no memory of how they got there, they must unravel the mystery to find who took them, and how to get rid of the nanotrackers in their bodies, no matter the cost, on the series finale of MACGYVER, Friday, April 30 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

MacGyver is the only Friday night drama not returning next season. CBS renewed both Blue Bloods and Magnum PI yesterday. The network also renewed NCIS, Bull, and SWAT.
What do you think? Are you sad to see MacGyver end on CBS? Did you want a sixth season for the reboot series?
Can’t believe this series is not coming back, in my opinion just as good as Magnum PI which I also love, great cast and crew not forgetting chemistry, surely that is all you need for a renewal CBS?? Please think again.
I used to love this show, but after George Eads left it was never the same. I’ve never believed that one character could make all the difference, but Jack Dalton absolutely did on this one so I just had to stop watching.
MacGyver was ok. But I enjoyed watching Thr original TV show with Richard Dean Anderson!
We love MacGyver & wish it were staying on.
Lots of us watch magyver its a mistake to cancel hope another smarter network picks it up
I don’t think macgyver should have been canceled it is a good show the only one i watched on CBS
Heartbroken . Never saw it coming.
You are canceling MacGyver over Blue bloods? You know how to loose viewers.
My husband and I continue to find less and less to watch on CBS as CBS cancels yet again entertaining programs – MacGyver & NCIS New Orleans. Both if these programs have great casts and good story lines. It’s a shame that CBS thinks that “reality TV” is the programming that people want to watch. We assure you it is not. We get to watch too much reality on the news. We want to be entertained when watching TV. You need to keep good shows like MacGyver on the air. They are unique and interesting with great characters. You will… Read more »
I will not watch CBS without Macgyver.
Will miss MacGyver. I liked the actors and all the action
I am going to really miss MacGyver for the fun, offbeat fantasy that it was. It was a modern spy series with some eye candy for the younger(13 to 18) age group, and a good ride for those of us much older. My kids enjoyed the series, and I didn’t worry about the content. No drugs, no name calling, no sexual scenes or inappropriate language, a RARE find out of Hollywood. This reminded me of the Happy Days series, not for the plot similarity but for the good clean fun. I wish CBS would re-think their decision to cancel this… Read more »
I don’ t understand why MacGyver was not renewed. There is not another show like it on TV. What can be done to change CBS’s decision.
I think you people are absolutely STUPID to cancel this show What got a new absolutely Sc called reality show that needs the space totally STUPID
I liked Magnum, Mac Gyver and NCIS New Orleans .They have cancelled all my favorite shows. I would rather they had cancelled SWAT, ALL FBI’S, BULL, SEALS and Blue Bloods. CBS SUCKS (5).
