CBS has cancelled NCIS: New Orleans after seven seasons but there will still be three NCIS series on the 2021-22 schedule. The network has renewed flagship NCIS (season 19) and NCIS: Los Angeles (season 13) and has also ordered a new show, NCIS: Hawaii.
According to Deadline, NCIS: Hawaii will follow “the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor and her team as they balance duty to family and country, investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of the island itself.” Unlike previous members of the franchise, this new show won’t be introduced as a backdoor pilot episode.
The series is created and executive produced by NCIS: New Orleans executive producers Christopher Silber and Jan Nash, as well as SEAL Team writer-producer Matt Bosack. Larry Teng, who has directed episodes of Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0, will direct and executive produce on the first episode.
Casting hasn’t been announced as yet. It’s expected that the new series will have crossovers with the current iteration of Magnum PI, which also films in Hawaii.
Here’s the announcement from CBS.

What do you think? Do you like the NCIS franchise shows? Will you be checking out the new NCIS: Hawaii series on CBS?
We want NCIS new Orleans to stay not sure if we will watch a new show
Love all the NCIS’s, can’t wait to see the new one, and love it crossing with Magnum! I love the new one better than the one with Tom Selleck. More NCIS can’t be bad.
I am a fan of all the NCIS SERIES’. HOWEVER, being from Louisiana, I am especially a fan of New Orleans. Extremely Disappointed that it’s being cancelled. The storylines, the scenes from around the surrounding areas, and especially the actors and actresses. I have been a fan of Scott Bacula for years. Of course all the other actors and actresses, I have LOVED since their first appearance. Even the ones that have left for one reason or another. This show has special meaning for alot of us. I wish you would reconsider and perhaps bring it back in 2022. I… Read more »
I love all the NCIS show I will be watching the Hawaii one
I love NCIS, I am sad that New Orleans is canceled. I have watched all of the NCIS can’t wait for Hawaii
Not going to last like ncis, LA are the best nothing replace it rumor says that female boss ridiculous same with magnum pi Higgins guy original series now remake female in these stupid shows.
I am still really upset about New Orleans being cancelled. It is possibly the best of all three recently. Now with Gibbs taking a backseat in the original (nice of Mark Harmon to stay, so others kept their jobs). There is going to be a huge gap, being Hettie less in LA isn’t ideal either, she’s a formidable character! Not sure Nell really has the chops or mettle that Hettie possesses. So now Hawaii is going to be the next murder capital (you’d think they’d killed most off in Hawaii Five-0. I will give it a chance, but still not… Read more »

Love all the NCIS shows, please do let me know when the new NCIS Hawaii starts, thank U, Don’t usually watch Magnam PI, but will do when the new NCIS Hawaii starts then.
I truly enjoy Magnum, didn’t think I would as I love Tom Selleck and the cast, but there have been some amazing episodes.
Yes I will be following that new series, especially that it will be filmed in Hawaii. I do liked to see some crossover.
boo, should have kept NCIS New Orleans. Hawaii 5 0 just wrapped so we don`t need another show based in Hawaii
CBS has a factory in Hawaii that makes TV shows. They’re unlikely to produce a show there that’s set in New Orleans.
