Scrubs ended its run after nine seasons, and the star of the series looked back at the comedy in a recent interview. During the interview, Braff revealed that he tried to steal one prop from the set – and it is now under lock and key in a Disney warehouse.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Braff revealed that he tried to take the taxidermy dog that belonged to his character. He said the following about the ABC series:
“I tried to take him home. The network wouldn’t let me have him. And so they put him in a warehouse. I picture him in like Raiders of the Lost Ark where they put the art in the back of that warehouse with all those precious relics. Rowdy is in the back of some Disney storage space like that. He’s in the background of one of the shoots of Wish I Was Here. The studio literally thought that I was going to steal the dead taxidermy animal and they sent a security guard with the dog who was his bodyguard for the day. Because they were right, I would have …”
Were you a fan of Scrubs? Are you surprised that Braff wasn’t allowed to take Rowdy home? Tell us what you think.
One of the best shows ever. I would let him and Donald “fight it out” over who gets to keep Rowdy. I imagine a joint custody agreement with liberal visitation.
I think they should given rowdy to Donald and give Steven to Zach. The same way they gave them on the show
They should have allowed him to take it when the show closed. It was an integral part of the character that he played
I think its stupid.Let him have it. He just collecting dust in a warehouse. Let him have a piece of momneto. What is the big deal? I loved scrubs. Jd and Turk were my fab. Next was Dr. Cox.I bought the whole 9 seasons on blue ray. I can watch it over and over. Best comedy show ever.
Why not let him have a keepsake. It’s not likely it will be used again. And the Smithsonian can have the ‘epiphany’ toilet!
